For one week each summer, English spills out of the classroom and across the whole Chungshan campus. During the 2026 English Week, students rotated through games, songs, and hands-on challenges where the only way to win was to speak up in English. Highlights were filmed and shared on the school's English channel, so families could watch their children take the stage — proof that at Chungshan, English is something you do, not just something you study.
114 學年度六月英語週，全校透過遊戲、歌曲與闖關活動，把英語從教室帶到整個校園；精彩片段已上傳學校英語頻道，讓家長一同看見孩子開口說英語的成果。

Talent Contest: Reading & Recitation校內才藝競賽：英語朗讀・字音字形

Chungshan's annual in-school talent competitions put language front and center. In the latest round, students competed in English reading aloud and in Chinese phonics and character recognition (字音字形), with classmates cheering on every careful vowel and crisp consonant. Events like these give young readers a real audience — and a reason to polish pronunciation in both of their languages well before any outside competition.

Few elementary schools can say their students rank first across an entire region — but Chungshan's harmonica team can. Ranked number one in the Asia-Pacific, the team is one of the brightest jewels in a music program that also includes a nationally recognized Chinese orchestra. Year after year, Chungshan's young musicians prove that a century-old school can still set the standard on the biggest stages.

Music and movement sit side by side at Chungshan. The school's Chinese orchestra has long placed among the best in the country, while its swimmers train and compete at the national level. Together they shape a campus culture where discipline, teamwork, and the joy of performance are part of growing up — and where every child is encouraged to find the team or the instrument that fits them best.

Swimming & Badminton Summer Camps游泳與羽球夏令營開放報名

When the term ends, the learning doesn't have to. For summer 2026, Chungshan opened registration for swimming and badminton camps, giving students a healthy, active way to spend the holidays right on their own campus. The swimming camp builds on the school's strong aquatics tradition, while badminton offers fast footwork and friendly competition — both led by familiar coaches in a place that already feels like home.

The North Wing — A Historic Building北棟教室 · 縣定歷史建築
Designated 2001 · 民國 90 年登錄
Walk the Chungshan campus and you walk through history. The two-story North Wing Classroom, rebuilt in 1937, is famous for its Roman-arched corridor and dual-sloped roof — once the longest single building in all of Changhua. In 2001 it was officially designated a historic building by the Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau, making an everyday school corridor into a piece of the county's living heritage.
中山校園本身就是一段歷史。1937 年改建的兩層樓北棟教室，以羅馬圓拱式走廊與雙斜屋頂聞名，曾是全彰化最長的單棟建築，2001 年正式登錄為彰化縣歷史建築。

The Poem Tree & the Father of New Literature詩文樹與台灣新文學之父

In front of the North Wing stands the one-of-a-kind Poem Tree, inscribed with the names and works of twelve distinguished literary alumni. Among them is Lai He, honored as "the father of Taiwan's New Literature," and Chen Xugu, the island's first pastoral poet. Their legacy earned Chungshan a title no other school shares: the "Cradle of Literary Giants in Changhua" — a story our students now tell visitors in English.
北棟前的詩文樹鐫刻著十二位文學家校友的姓名與作品，包括「台灣新文學之父」賴和與第一位田園詩人陳虛谷，讓中山獨享「彰化文學家搖籃」的美名——如今孩子能用英文向訪客述說這段故事。

Chungshan's students don't just inherit history — they document and share it. Through the International Schools CyberFair, teams have researched their community and built award-winning websites, earning multiple Platinum Awards on a global stage. The project pairs naturally with the school's study-tour center, where young guides welcome visitors and practice telling Chungshan's century-long story to the world.
