Let the Games Begin!

The long-awaited five-day English camp has officially begun! This year's camp was designed by our foreign English teachers together with Chungshan's own English team, built around an energetic "Chungshan Olympics" theme — full-English interactive lessons, teamwork, and hands-on experiences that turn the whole campus into an immersive English-learning world.

Day 1 · Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony was lit — literally — by the principal himself, who carried in the torch symbolizing hope and challenge and announced: "Let the Games Begin!" 🔥

Transformed into their own national teams, the children set off on this English journey with excitement and anticipation. Besides learning about the Olympic spirit and joining playful competitions on day one, students also worked in small groups, interacting naturally with the foreign teachers — bravely speaking up in English, building confidence through play, and building teamwork through cooperation.

Day 2 · Learning Beyond the Classroom

On the second day, students stepped out of the classroom for a journey that blended real-life situations with bilingual learning. The first stop was the Taichung MRT, where children rode the metro themselves and even visited the rarely-opened Operation Control Center behind the scenes. Through bilingual guiding, they learned how the whole system runs, along with plenty of everyday English words about transportation.

Next came Taichung Airport. The children didn't actually fly anywhere, but their teachers had prepared something just as exciting: personal boarding passes. From check-in to security to boarding, students role-played the entire flying process and practiced real boarding-gate English conversations, while learning what all that information printed on a boarding pass actually means.

The last stop was the Taiwan Yogurt Cookie College bakery, where children rolled up their sleeves and made their very own egg tarts. In the middle of all that happy baking, students naturally reached for the English phrases they had just practiced — proof that language sticks best when it's part of something fun.

From the MRT, to the airport, to the bakery — every stop became a living English lesson. Warm thanks to our foreign teachers, the English team, and every staff member who made the day possible. Through immersive bilingual learning, the children didn't just study English — they spoke up bravely, explored happily, and gathered a whole day's worth of real, hands-on learning. 🌐✨
