Qiaotou entered the 2026 Shetou Township Chief’s Cup badminton tournament, and in the parent-and-child doubles one of our families finished third. Congratulations to them.
恭賀本校參加 115 年社頭鄉鄉長盃羽球賽，於親子組雙打榮獲第三名。
Parent-and-child doubles is an unusual event, and a good one. The two players on a side are not classmates picked for being a similar size and speed — they are a grown-up and a child, which means the pair has to work out between themselves who covers the back of the court and who takes the net, and has to keep talking while the rally is going on. A child learns to be a partner rather than a player being coached.
親子組雙打是一種少見、但很好的項目。同一邊的兩位選手不是身高和速度差不多的同學，而是一個大人和一個孩子——這代表這一組必須自己講好誰守後場、誰上網前，而且在一來一往的過程中還得一直溝通。孩子在這裡學到的是當一個搭檔，而不是當一個被指導的選手。
The certificate is dated August 29 and came back to school the following week. We are keeping the names of the players off this page, but the medal is on the desk and the whole school is pleased about it.
