A pair of small hands, a lump of material and plenty of imagination — and one by one, unique glove puppets came to life in the children's hands.
一雙小手、一團材料，再加上滿滿的想像力，一尊尊獨一無二的布袋戲偶，就在孩子們的手中誕生了！
This Summer Reading class took the children into the world of traditional Taiwanese glove puppetry, introducing the special Luo-Nian-Xiang puppet. Its head is made from wood shavings, potato starch and gelatine, blended and kneaded, then shaped in a mould into a head with three-dimensional features.
這次夏日樂學課程帶孩子走進傳統布袋戲世界，認識別具特色的「羅黏香布袋戲偶」。偶頭以木屑、太白粉、明膠等材料製作，經過調和、揉捏，再利用模具塑形，完成具有立體五官的偶頭。
Next, the children drew and sketched on cloth and freely chose colours for the character in their mind, designing the puppet's costume. When each child proudly held up their finished puppet, every one had its own personality and story — and the precious art of glove puppetry lived on in their hands.
接著孩子們在布料上構圖、描繪，依照自己心中的角色自由配色，完成「戲偶服飾設計」。當孩子開心地舉起自己完成的作品時，每一尊戲偶都有了不同的個性與故事，也讓珍貴的布袋戲文化，在孩子們的手中得到體驗！
