At Wenchang, bilingual life happens between the English lessons — the announcement on the morning intercom, the teacher's "line up, please," the office sign a first-grader reads without studying. For a small village school in Fuxing's watermelon country, that between-the-lessons layer is the bilingual environment our students get. Wenchang Elementary is certified by Changhua County as a "Setting Sail" school (揚帆學校) under the Ministry of Education's International Education 2.0 framework. The framework grades schools by how far they have moved from classroom textbooks toward real cross-cultural exchange, and "Setting Sail" is the level given to schools doing that work in practice. Our children have already taken part in online cross-cultural exchanges with classrooms abroad — the work of making sure "international" never stays an idea on paper. 文昌國小通過彰化縣領航學校認證,取得教育部國際教育 2.0「課程教學-國際教育/揚帆學校」級別——這是給「實際走出教科書、進入真實國際交流」的學校的等級。本校孩子已經參與過跨國線上文化交流活動。對一所這樣規模的鄉村小學來說,這正是「揚帆」這個名字最想表達的事:讓「國際」永遠不會只停留在紙上。

A 13-episode bilingual announcement series, organised by the four school offices: Academic Affairs, Student Affairs, General Affairs, Counselling.
