Three bilingual picture books — written, illustrated, and shared by Sijhou children themselves. Co-created with our American sister school and our own teachers. 三本由溪州師生親自創作、雙語呈現的繪本——和美國姊妹校共製、和自家老師合作。每一本都是溪州獨有,別處找不到。

The Sheep and the Dragon

羊與龍的生活

A bilingual picture book co-created by Sijhou Elementary and our American sister school, Trinidad Union School (California, USA). One half of the book is illustrated by Sijhou children — a year in the life of a Taiwanese sheep. The other half is illustrated by Trinidad children — a year in the life of an American dragon. The two animals never meet in the story; they meet in the binding.

由溪州國小與美國加州 Trinidad Union School 共製的雙語繪本。一半由溪州孩子畫——一隻台灣羊的一年;另一半由 Trinidad 孩子畫——一隻美國龍的一年。兩隻動物在故事裡沒有相遇,但在書脊上相見。

The Forest from the Light of the Sheep

羊光森林

A bilingual library story written and read aloud by Sijhou students Huang Guan-Hsueh and Hsieh Yuan-Hsi. In the story, the Sijhou library opens out into an enchanted forest where every book holds a small adventure — and the four L.I.F.E. values (Learning, International, Fancy, Ecology) are the four trees that hold the forest up.

由本校學生黃冠學謝沅希主筆與朗讀的雙語繪本——故事裡,溪州圖書館通往一片光之森林,每一本書都是一場小冒險;L.I.F.E. 四大支柱(閱讀、國際、想像、生態)正是支撐這座森林的四棵樹。

123 Wooden Bird

123 木頭鳥

A homegrown bilingual picture book co-created by Sijhou teachers and students. Like the schoolyard game where you freeze on "三", the Wooden Bird story is full of small pauses — moments where a child looks again, listens again, and chooses what to do next. A favourite shelf-book for grade-one and -two reading sessions.

溪州師生共同創作的雙語繪本——就像那個會喊「123 木頭人」的童年遊戲,《123 木頭鳥》故事裡充滿安靜的小停頓——孩子停下來、再看一次、再聽一次、決定下一步該怎麼做。一二年級閱讀時段的常駐書目。
