For three days this summer, Pitou’s campus turned into a math playground under the sea — thanks to the National Changhua University of Education Math Youth Service Corps, who brought a universe of enthusiasm (and no shortage of goofy energy) to the 2026 SpongeBob Math Camp.
Somewhere between the group cheers and the SpongeBob cutouts, real learning was happening.
College student counselors — future teachers in training — traded their dignity for laughs without hesitation, leading games, challenges, and hands-on activities designed to make math feel like play rather than homework.
By the closing ceremony, tired feet and full hearts told the same story: three days well spent, and a camp counted as a complete success. In a joyful atmosphere, students found real curiosity about numbers they hadn’t felt walking in.
