Love, Passed On: A Teacher’s Day Gift for Our Recorder Ensemble

This Teacher’s Day, a post shared by our recorder teacher deeply moved everyone at Hsiushui Junior High.

For more than ten years, our recorder teacher has walked alongside the Hsiushui recorder ensemble — class after class of students learning, practicing, stepping onto the stage and making memories that last. Keeping a team going for so long, and passing it on year after year, is never easy.

十多年來，老師一路陪伴秀中直笛隊，從一屆又一屆的孩子開始學習、練習，到站上舞台、留下美好的回憶。直笛隊能夠長久經營、持續傳承，背後有太多不容易。

This year brought a special challenge: more than ten new members were complete beginners. The teacher started from the very basics — fingering, tonguing and reading music — and stayed with them one patient step at a time.

尤其今年面對十多位零基礎的新生，老師仍然耐心地從最基本的指法、運舌、看譜開始，一步一步陪著孩子成長。

And this Teacher’s Day brought the most touching gift of all: graduates of the ensemble came back to school on their own, to practice with the younger players and help the teacher lead the group. The students the teacher once guided are now the ones guiding the next class.

而今年教師節，更令人感動的是，已經畢業的學長姐們自發回到學校，陪伴學弟妹練習、協助老師帶團。曾經被老師帶著走的孩子，如今換成他們回來陪伴下一屆的學弟妹。

Thank you for more than ten years of commitment, skill and care for the Hsiushui recorder ensemble — and thank you to every student who has ever worked hard in it. Because a teacher kept going, a team has lasted; because students passed it down, the love lives on.

謝謝老師十多年來對秀水國中直笛隊的堅持、專業與付出，也謝謝每一位曾經在直笛隊努力過的孩子。因為有老師的堅持，讓一個團隊得以走得長久；因為有孩子們的傳承，讓這份愛得以延續。

On Teacher’s Day, Hsiushui Junior High would like to say: thank you — we are so grateful. You don’t just teach children to play the recorder; you have helped one generation of Hsiushui students after another grow up. Know new, build dreams — and let the music, and the love, go on.

教師節這一天，秀水國中想對老師說：謝謝您，十多年來辛苦了！您不只是教孩子吹奏直笛，更陪著一代又一代的秀中孩子成長。知新築夢，豪氣秀中。讓音樂延續，讓愛一直傳下去。
