Since 1949 we have grown from a small school into a big family that teaches the job skills that matter — technology, engineering, design and more. We are in Yuanlin City, at the heart of southern Changhua, and everything we do is about helping you get ready for a bright future.
自 1949 年（民國 38 年）以來，我們從一所小學校成長為一個大家庭，教授技術、工程、設計等重要職業技能。學校位於南彰化的中心員林市，我們所做的一切，都是為了幫助你為光明的未來做好準備。

Four words taken from the initials of ChungShih Vocational School — and four things we ask of every student who walks through our gate. 四個字，取自學校英文校名的縮寫，也是我們對每一位走進校門的學生的期許。
We want our students to innovate in their professional skills, to strive for excellence, to broaden their international perspective, and to carry a humane concern for the people around them. Those four words are not a slogan on a wall; they are the standard we hold a ChungShih graduate to.

A vocational school is measured by what its students can actually make. Our departments run on machines, benches, panels and drawing boards — and on the habit of doing a thing again until it is right.
一所技職學校，要看學生真正做得出什麼。各科的日常是機具、工作檯、配電盤與製圖桌——以及一次又一次重做到對為止的習慣。
We are known for doing well in competition — because our students and teachers put the work in.
我們以在比賽中表現出色而聞名——因為學生和老師都下了功夫。
ChungShih has taken part in the national team technical-creativity training and competition for 18 consecutive years. Every year our teams have reached the final, and every year they have finished in the top three. 本校參加全國技藝及技能競賽得獎率高達八成；連續 18 年參加全國技術型高級中等學校學生團隊技術創造力培訓與競賽，年年皆打入決賽，獲得前三名。
Competition is not the point of a vocational education, but it is a good test of one. Preparing for a national skills competition asks a student to work to a tolerance, to a deadline, and to a standard set by somebody else — which is exactly what a workplace will ask of them later.
比賽不是技職教育的目的，卻是很好的檢驗。準備一場全國技能競賽，學生必須做到規定的精度、時限與別人訂下的標準——那正是日後職場對他們的要求。
Our library is a cozy spot to discover new books and new ideas.
圖書館是一個舒適的地方，可以在這裡發現新書與新想法。
We take the humanities and the reading habit seriously. The National Yuanlin Chung Shih Library was built as a place students actually want to sit in — long shared tables, a timber ceiling, shelves sorted by subject, and a wall where the librarian's picks and the newest arrivals face outward so a cover can catch your eye. New books arrive every semester, and the reading schemes that go with them are there to turn a one-off visit into a habit.
我們重視人文及閱讀涵養。崇實圖書館被設計成一個學生真的願意坐下來的地方——長條共讀桌、木質天花板、依類別排列的書架，還有一整面把館長推薦與到館新書「面朝外」陳列的牆，讓書封先抓住你的眼睛。每學期引進新書，搭配鼓勵閱讀的機制，把一次造訪變成一個習慣。
Sport, scouting and a marching band — room to be more than your timetable.
體育活動、童軍與管樂隊——在課表之外，還有很多可能。
We encourage students to develop in more than one direction. The school puts real weight behind sports activities, scouting and a marching band, which take our students out into the community and to events beyond the school gate. A full running track, ball courts and a covered court mean the weather rarely stops anything.
我們鼓勵學生多元發展，重視體育活動、童軍及設立管樂隊，使學生學習參與社區及校外活動。完整的 PU 跑道、球場與風雨球場，讓天氣很少能擋住任何一件事。
Taekwondo, badminton and track and field are part of the school's sporting life, and the covered court keeps basketball and volleyball going through a Changhua summer.
跆拳道、羽球與田徑是校園運動生活的一部分；有了風雨球場，籃球與排球在彰化的夏天也照常進行。
