On the morning of November 3, 2026, Beidou Junior High held the groundbreaking ceremony for the demolition and reconstruction of its aging school buildings. Founded in 1946, the school is saying goodbye to classrooms that have served generations of Beidou students — Hongdao Hall among them — to make way for a safer, more modern campus. County Magistrate Wang Hui-mei attended and spoke, joined by local representatives, principals past and present, and friends of the school from across the community.
北斗國中於 2026 年 11 月 3 日上午舉行「老舊校舍拆除重建工程」動土典禮。創校於 1946 年的北斗國中，即將告別陪伴一代代北中學子的老舊校舍（弘道樓即是其中之一），迎接更安全、更現代的新校園。縣長王惠美親臨致詞，地方民意代表、友校校長、歷任校長與地方各界來賓齊聚一堂，共襄盛舉。
The morning opened with a performance by the honor guard of nearby Beidou Vocational High School. Drums and a lion dance followed, bringing wishes for good luck, while Beidou JHS student hosts lined the path to welcome the guests.
典禮由鄰近的北斗家商儀隊揭開序幕，鼓陣與舞獅接續登場，帶來滿滿的好兆頭；北斗國中的禮賓生則在校園中夾道歡迎來賓。
In her speech, Magistrate Wang said the new buildings are designed for the way students learn today. She also noted other county support for the school, including waterproofing the activity center roof, building an AI future classroom, and improving classroom lighting.
王縣長致詞表示，新校舍是為現代的學習方式而設計。她也提到縣府對北斗國中的其他補助，包括活動中心屋頂鐵皮整修防水、AI 未來教室建置，以及教室照明改善。

Principal Wu Bing-lien thanked the Magistrate and every guest for coming, and made a promise about the work ahead.

Then came the traditional rites. Guests offered incense and bowed three times — for a smooth build, for safe construction, and for good fortune in all things. Wearing hard hats and gloves, the Magistrate, the Principal and the guests took up golden shovels for three ceremonial scoops: the first for a smooth start and peace for all, the second for a safe groundbreaking and glory to Beidou, and the third for good fortune and a smooth build to the end.
隨後依循傳統，來賓持香祭拜：一拜工程順利、再拜興建平安、三拜萬事吉祥。接著戴上工程帽與手套，縣長、校長與來賓手持金鏟完成三鏟動土——第一鏟開工順利、國泰民安，第二鏟動土平安、榮耀北斗，第三鏟圓滿吉祥、工程順利。
The ceremony closed with group photos and a rousing cheer: “Beidou Junior High, thumbs up! Changhua County, thumbs up, up, up!” A safer, more modern campus is on its way for the next generation of Beidou students.
典禮最後在大合照與「北斗國中讚！彰化縣讚讚讚！」的歡呼聲中圓滿落幕。更安全、更現代的新校園即將到來，迎接下一代的北斗學子。
