Yuying's crest is an eagle — EAGLE. To put into practice the spirit of the 12-year national curriculum — taking the initiative, engaging with others, and seeking the common good — and to meet an age of education that is at once global, rooted in its own place, and attentive to each individual, we have built the school's vision from the letters of that word.

Each letter names something we want for every child who passes through our gate: the confidence to express and cooperate, the drive to learn on their own, the horizon of a global citizen, a lasting love of reading, and the energy to act and solve problems. That is what it means, here, to soar like an eagle.

A ninety-year-old school does not stand still. Principal Lin's aim for Yuying is to keep its long tradition of excellence alive while opening the classroom outward — a bilingual, internationally minded education that still knows exactly where it comes from, so that graduates leave as modern citizens with a passion for lifelong learning, a sense of social responsibility, and a wide view of the world.
