Yuying Elementary opened its doors in April 1933 as a girls' school in the heart of Yuanlin. Over ninety years it has changed its name four times, opened its classrooms to boys and girls alike, and grown into one of the town's best-loved schools — a place where a long history sits comfortably beside a forward-looking, bilingual classroom.
育英國小於民國 22 年（1933）4 月創校，最初名為「員林女子公學校」，專收女童。九十餘年來四度更名、男女共學，一路成長為員林最受地方喜愛的學校之一——悠久的歷史，與面向未來的雙語課堂並肩而立。
Today Yuying is a vibrant community of learners across 37 classes — 32 general classes, 4 artistic-talent dance classes, and a resource class — so that every child can find their own path to growth and success.

A row of tall palms lines the drive up to the main building, where the school's name has welcomed pupils through the same doorway for generations. Step into the covered arcade and the ceiling opens into a painted blue sky — a small piece of imagination on the way to class.
通往主校舍的道路兩旁，是一整排高大的椰子樹；「育英國民小學」的門楣，已在同一個入口迎接了幾個世代的孩子。走進川堂，抬頭是一片藍天白雲的彩繪——上課途中的一點想像。
