On April 7, 2026, Teacher Dom Jones — a partner teacher across the Changhua Bilingual Hub — visited Yushin Elementary to report on campus life and meet our students. Walking the corridors with a camera and a friendly hello, he turned an ordinary school day into a chance for our children to use real English with a real guest.

Huang Cheng-hong, a sixth grader at Yushin, threw his way to seventh place in the boys' shot put at the 2026 National Junior High and Elementary School Track and Field Championship. For a tiny six-class country school to place at a national meet is a point of real pride — and proof that talent can come from anywhere, even a wetland village by the sea.
育新六年級的黃丞鴻在「2026 年全國中小學田徑錦標賽」中，勇奪國小男生組鉛球第七名。一所只有六班的海邊小校能在全國賽事中名列前茅，是真正令人驕傲的成就——也證明了天分可以來自任何地方，即使是海邊的溼地小村。
At the Director's Cup slow-cycling competition — where the rider who balances the longest, not the fastest, wins — Yushin swept the team championship. Fifth grader Huang Yu-qing took fifth in the upper-grade class and fourth grader Huang Yi-chen seventh in the middle grades. Even teacher Chen Xin-hui joined in, riding to second place in the adult division.

As a US–Taiwan Eco-School partner, Yushin lives its environmental promise close to home. Through the Green Fence Project, students plant and tend a living hedge around the campus — learning, hands in the soil, how a school can be greener, cooler, and kinder to the birds of the nearby Fubao Wetland.

Yushin's classrooms sit a short walk from the Fubao Wetland, one of the Changhua coast's great havens for egrets and migratory birds, in a district known as the "home of dairy cows." Wetland, farmland, and seashore make a living science lab — and a powerful reason to learn the English words for the nature on our doorstep.
育新的教室距離福寶溼地只有幾步之遙——這裡是彰化海岸白鷺鷥與候鳥的重要棲地，也是聞名的「乳牛故鄉」。溼地、農田與海岸構成一座活的自然教室，也是孩子們學習身邊自然英語的最佳理由。
Yushin's relay squad — Chen Qian-yu, Nian Rong-xuan, Huang Yue-xuan, and Huang Yi — sprinted to fifth place in both the 400m and 800m relays at the Changhua County Combined Sports Meet. Earlier in the spring, Yushin athletes also placed at the New Taipei Youth Cup and the Taipei Spring National Championship.
