Yushin Elementary sits in Ergang Village, Fuxing Township, right beside the Fubao Wetland on the Changhua coast — a place known as a "paradise for water birds" and the "home of dairy cows." Egrets wade in the mudflats, milk trucks pass the rice fields, and our children grow up with the land and the tide as their first teachers.
育新國小坐落於福興鄉二港村，緊鄰彰化海岸的福寶溼地——這裡素有「水鳥天堂」與「乳牛故鄉」之稱。白鷺鷥在潮間帶覓食，運乳車駛過稻田，育新的孩子以這片土地與潮汐為第一位老師。
Founded in 1960, our school was built in the spirit the community still remembers as "a school raised on a peck of rice" (斗米建校) — teachers, families, and neighbors who turned a patch of wasteland into a learning home with whatever they could give. That same spirit lives on today as the school's three values: gratitude, thankfulness, and kindness.
學校創立於民國 49 年（1960），秉持地方至今仍津津樂道的「斗米建校」精神——師生、家長與鄉親有錢出錢、有力出力，把一片荒地建設成學習的家園。這份精神化為今日育新的三大價值：惜福、感恩、友善。
Under Principal Lin Yuan-ping, Yushin follows one guiding line — "rooted at home, eyes on the world, learners for life." Bilingual learning, environmental education, and a proud sporting tradition all grow from it.
