Two Guests, One Question
On November 10, 2025, Yangming Junior High welcomed two international guests — Leon from Canada and David from the United States — for a school-wide morning on "personal branding." Their talk pressed students to take seriously a question that adults often delay too long: What makes you, you?
Their advice was deceptively simple. Start with self-awareness. Find your strengths, find what you love, and be honest about both. Then build the habit that everyone agreed mattered most: write something down every day. Not for grades, not for show — just to listen to your own thinking out loud.
"Personal branding starts the moment you stop performing and start listening to yourself."
The Showcase
After the talk, the floor was the students'. Yangming's harmonica players opened with a piece full of warmth and precision. A second group introduced Changhua's local sights and food in English — from the Bagua Mountain Buddha to nuomi-changchang rice sausages — turning the city we all share into a story international guests could carry home. The morning closed with a martial-arts demonstration that needed no translation: focus, restraint, and discipline visible in every movement.
