Principal Chang's path is a rare combination in Taiwan's school system: he holds a B.S. in Mathematics from Chung Yuan Christian University, both an M.Ed. and an Ed.D. from National Changhua University of Education (NCUE), and continues to serve as an Assistant Professor at NCUE while leading Yangming. The mathematician's clarity meets the educator's depth in everything he does.

張耀忠校長的學養路線在台灣教育界相當少見：中原大學數學系學士、彰化師範大學教育研究所碩士與博士，至今仍擔任彰化師大兼任助理教授，一邊辦學、一邊教學。數學家的清晰與教育學者的厚度，在他身上同時存在。

His thirty-plus years in Changhua's secondary schools moved through every front-line role — classroom teacher, Director of Discipline, Director of General Affairs, Director of Counseling — before he was named principal at Xizhou Junior High, then at Zhangtai Junior High, and now at Yangming. Along the way he served as Chairman of the Changhua County Education Association and as a director of the Taiwan Provincial Education Association.

他在彰化縣中學任職超過三十年，幾乎走過所有第一線行政職——級任教師、訓導主任、總務主任、輔導主任——之後先後接任溪州國中校長、彰泰國中校長，再到現在的陽明國中。他也曾擔任彰化縣教育會理事長、台灣省教育會理事，是彰化教育界深耕已久的代表人物之一。

He often tells students that "life has no miracles, only the trace marks of sustained effort." Among the staff, he is known for arriving early, watching closely, and trusting teachers to do the work they were trained to do. Among parents, he is known for showing up.

他常對學生說：「生命沒有奇蹟，只有不斷努力的痕跡。」 在校內，他以早到、細看、放手讓老師專業發揮著稱；在家長眼中，他是一位「會出現的校長」。
