The Class That Travelled 那堂跨海上課的課

For one full season at Yangming, the classroom did not stop at the city limits of Changhua. Through the school's Diplomatic Pioneers program and a partnership with My Culture Connect, our students sat down each week with Teacher Melanie — logging in from New York City — for a series of bilingual lessons that were equal parts language practice and global conversation.

在那一整季的時間裡，陽明的教室並未止於彰化市的邊界。透過學校的「外交小尖兵」課程，以及與人師教育協會的合作，學生每週與來自紐約的 Melanie 老師視訊上課——一系列既是英語練習、也是世界對話的雙語課程。

Melanie taught with the kind of patience that lets a quiet thirteen-year-old find their voice without rushing them. By the second month, students were asking unprompted questions; by the end, they were taking turns running the discussion. The change was in their English, yes — but more visibly in their willingness to speak.

Melanie 老師的耐心很特別——讓一位安靜的十三歲學生，不必趕、慢慢找到自己的聲音。第二個月起，學生開始主動發問；學期結束前，他們已經輪流主持討論。改變當然在英文表達上，但更明顯的，是他們願意開口這件事。

What Comes Next 下一步

The course is finished, but the door is not. Yangming and My Culture Connect are already planning the next round of international programming — new teachers, new themes, and the same commitment to giving every Yangming student a stage that reaches beyond Changhua.

這門課結束了，但門沒有關。陽明國中與人師教育協會已經在規劃下一輪的國際課程——新的老師、新的主題，以及同一個信念：讓每一位陽明孩子，都有一個能延伸到彰化以外的舞台。
