Last Match of the Summer: Six Podium Places in County Archery

Today was the archery team's last match of the summer holiday. We set off early, in cool morning air and high spirits, for the Taiwanese Culture Park in Changhua and the 2026 Sports Season Archery Championship, run by the Changhua County Sports Association.

今天，是射箭隊暑假期間的最後一場比賽！一早天氣涼爽，我們帶著期待的心情，前往彰化台語文化園區，參加彰化縣體育會主辦的「115 年體育季射箭錦標賽」。

Not many teams or archers entered this time, but every young archer prepared carefully and gave their best. On the shooting line they showed what daily training has built — and the results were very good indeed.

雖然這次參賽的隊伍與選手人數不多，但每一位小選手都認真準備、全力以赴，在賽場上展現平日訓練的成果，最後也獲得了相當不錯的成績。

Santan came away with six places. In the Elementary Recurve 10m Boys' division, first place went to a Grade 5 archer. In the Recurve 10m Girls' division, Grade 4 archers took both first and second. And in the Recurve 30m Mixed division, Santan took first (Grade 6), second (Grade 5) and third (Grade 6).

三潭共獲得六個名次：國小反曲弓 10m 男子組第一名（五年級）；反曲弓 10m 女子組第一名與第二名（皆為四年級）；反曲弓 30m 男女混合組第一名（六年級）、第二名（五年級）與第三名（六年級）。

For the coach, though, the most important thing about a match has never been winning or losing. A competition is a mirror: it lets children see the problems that daily training hides, and it teaches them to adjust, to correct their form and to gather experience under pressure.

不過，對教練而言，每一場比賽最重要的，從來都不只是輸贏。比賽是一面鏡子，讓孩子看見自己平常訓練中沒有發現的問題；也讓他們學習在壓力與挑戰中調整自己、修正動作、累積經驗。

Seeing the problem is where progress begins; being willing to adjust is how you improve a little more each time. The last match of the summer is over, but the children's archery journey goes on. Congratulations to every archer who competed — and thank you to Coach Peng Zong-you for his guidance and company all along the way.
