In a June filled with the spirit of graduation, Teacher Luke brought stories of how different countries celebrate graduation, for our young bookworms to explore.
In Taiwan, besides the usual ceremony, some schools take graduates on a physical challenge up a mountain to collect their diplomas, and many sign one another's uniforms (“Signed T-shirts”) as keepsakes. In America, graduates wear caps and gowns, move the tassel from right to left, and toss their caps to mark a new chapter. In Argentina, after the ceremony comes “egging” — friends shower graduates with eggs, flour, and paint in a joyful street celebration. In Sweden, graduates ride parade floats through town, sharing the graduation spirit with everyone on the streets.
Although library story time was only 15 short minutes, our little bookworms surely gained a lot. Let's loudly wish all Hsinmin graduates: Happy Graduation!

Happy Graduation!! 🎓🎊
