Heaven Helps Those Who Help Themselves: Getting the Campus Ready

“Heaven helps those who help themselves.” With school about to start, the principal led the campus team through the final days before term, working task by task with contractors so that children could come back to a safer, more comfortable place to learn.

「天助自助者。」開學的腳步越來越近，為了迎接孩子們快樂返校，校長帶領校園團隊把握開學前夕，與各方廠商攜手合作，一項項完成校園環境的整備。

Old skylight canopies were replaced, giving the campus a fresh look and making it safer and tidier. Uneven paving on the walkways was levelled and re-laid, and the anti-collision guards along the corridors were renewed, so the paths children walk every day are smoother and safer.

老舊的採光罩重新更新，讓校園空間煥然一新，也提升環境的安全與整潔；針對人行步道凹凸不平的連鎖磚進行填平，以及走廊上的防撞護條汰舊更新，讓孩子每天行走的路更加平穩、安全。

Circulation fans were cleaned for the kindergarten children, and new air conditioners were fitted in the elementary classrooms, so the children can concentrate in a cool, comfortable room. From the toilets to the sinks outside the classrooms, the team cleaned and tidied the washstands by hand.

面對炎熱的夏日，為幼兒園的孩子清潔髒污的循環風扇，並替國小教室裝設舒適的冷氣，讓孩子們能在清涼舒適的環境中專心學習；從廁所到教室前的洗手台，團隊也親自動手清潔、整理。

Each small job carries the team’s care for the children: a repair is a piece of safety, an improvement is a piece of thoughtfulness, a tidy-up is a piece of protection. As the new semester begins, we look forward to welcoming the children back with a smile.

看似一件件平凡的小事，背後卻是校園團隊對孩子滿滿的用心：一處修繕，是一份安全；一項改善，是一份用心；一次整理，是一份守護。新學期即將開始，我們期待孩子們帶著笑容走進校園。
