Welcome to Guanyu Elementary School. I am Wu Chun-yen, and I am honored to lead this seaside school, having begun a new term as principal in the 114 school year (2025). Guanyu is a school with deep roots: founded in 1918, it has been part of this coastal community for more than a hundred years.
歡迎來到管嶼國小。我是巫俊延，很榮幸自114 學年度（2025）起續任校長，帶領這所濱海的學校。管嶼是一所根扎得很深的學校——創立於民國 7 年（1918），逾百年來始終是這片海岸社區的一份子。
Our campus faces the Taiwan Strait, with the busy West Coast Highway running right past our gate. That setting shapes who we are. It means we treat student safety — on the road and around the water — as a daily responsibility, never an afterthought. And it means the sea, the tidal flats, and the fields around us are not just scenery; they are our children's first and richest classroom.
我們的校園面向台灣海峽，繁忙的西濱公路就從校門口前經過。這樣的環境形塑了我們——我們把學生安全（無論是道路或水域）當作每天的責任，而不是事後才想起的事；也讓身邊的海洋、潮間帶與田野，不只是風景，而是孩子們最早、也最豐富的教室。
We believe a country school by the sea should never settle for being called "remote" or "disadvantaged." We draw on our local culture and natural surroundings to build learning that is truly our own, while opening doors to the wider world through reading and through everyday English. My hope is that every Guanyu child grows up grounded in this place — and unafraid to reach far beyond it.
我們相信，一所濱海的鄉村學校，絕不該甘於被貼上「偏遠」或「弱勢」的標籤。我們善用在地文化與自然環境，發展真正屬於管嶼的學校本位課程，同時透過閱讀與生活化的英語，為孩子打開通往更大世界的門。我期盼每一個管嶼的孩子，都能扎根於這片土地，也勇於走得更遠。
