Ershui Train Station was built in 1933. It is a special station, because here you can change to the Jiji Line — one of the most famous railway branch lines in Taiwan. Many visitors begin their trip around Ershui right here.二水車站建於 1933 年。這是一個很特別的車站,因為你可以在這裡轉乘集集線——台灣最有名的鐵路支線之一。許多遊客就從這裡開始他們的二水之旅。
Ande Temple is the most important temple in our town. People here come to pray to Mazu, the goddess of the sea, for peace and good luck. During festivals, the temple is full of lights, music, and happy crowds.安德宮是我們鎮上最重要的廟宇。鎮民來這裡向海上女神媽祖祈求平安與好運。每逢節慶,廟裡就充滿燈光、音樂與歡樂的人潮。
This park is named after the old name of our town, “28-Water.” It is a green place to rest and play, and two old trains are kept here for everyone to see. Families come here to walk, ride bikes, and take photos.這座公園以我們鎮的舊名「二八水」命名。它是一個適合休息和玩耍的綠地,這裡還保存了兩輛老火車供大家參觀。家庭會來這裡散步、騎車、拍照。
Every spring, the pink shower trees of Ershui burst into beautiful pink flowers. The branches look like soft pink clouds. People come from all over to walk under the trees and take photos of this lovely sight.每年春天,二水的花旗木會綻放美麗的粉紅色花朵。枝條看起來就像柔軟的粉紅雲朵。人們從各地前來,在樹下漫步,拍下這片可愛的景色。

Long ago, a wise old man taught the people of Ershui how to build the great Bābǎo Canal, which still waters our fields today. No one knew his name, so people simply called him “Mr. Lin.” This temple was built to thank him forever.很久以前,一位有智慧的老人教二水的人們如何興建偉大的八堡圳,至今仍灌溉著我們的田地。沒有人知道他的名字,所以大家就稱他為「林先生」。這座廟就是為了永遠感謝他而建。
Every November, Ershui holds its famous Water-Running Festival. People run along the canal just ahead of the rushing water — to thank Mr. Lin and to welcome the water that feeds our farms. It is the biggest and happiest day of the year in our town.每年十一月,二水都會舉辦著名的跑水節。人們在奔流的水前方沿著水圳奔跑——感謝林先生,也迎接灌溉農田的水。這是我們鎮上一年中最盛大、最歡樂的日子。

CT278 is a big black steam locomotive. People once called this kind of train the “Queen of Steam,” because it was so powerful and so beautiful.
