Based in Irvine, California, Edward holds a Master's from UCLA and is a member of YOUNGO, the official youth constituency of the UNFCCC. Since 2023 he has been a constant presence at the global youth climate forums — GCOY, COY, and LCOY — and as the International Ambassador for LCOY Taiwan, he coaches students to connect their personal interests to the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

A First Visit to Dacheng

Before the weekly Monday class began, Edward came down to Dacheng in person to meet the students, walk the campus, and feel the township that would become his Monday classroom. Each card pairs an English word with its part of speech, a Chinese translation, an example sentence, and the SDG it connects to. Students can flip cards to self-test, or switch to quiz mode for graded recall. Edward's Monday class pulls the goals into reach for a Dacheng 10-year-old — one English word, one example sentence at a time. 聯合國 17 項永續發展目標，是 2030 年前消除貧窮、保護地球、和平繁榮的全球行動框架。Edward 老師的週一課把這些目標拉到 10 歲孩子的視線——一個英文單字、一個例句、慢慢來。
