Dacheng Elementary School sits at the southwest corner of Changhua County in Dacheng Township, on the coastal plain between the Zhuoshui River and the Taiwan Strait. Founded in April 1915 as a branch of Erlin Public School, the school became independent in 1918, and today serves the villages of Dacheng, Donguent, Xicheng, Shanjiao, and Tsailiao — with a reach extending into Shangshan, Yonghe, and Gongguan.
大城國小位於彰化縣西南角的大城鄉，在濁水溪與台灣海峽之間的沿海平原。1915 年 4 月創校為「二林公學校大城厝分校」，1918 年獨立設校。如今學區涵蓋大城村、東城村、西城村、山腳村、菜寮村，並延伸服務上山村、永和村、公館村。

Through our signature curriculum "Dacheng Kids For Wheat" — a Taiwanese-language play on the phrase "大城去佗位" ("Where are we going, Dacheng?") — we integrate the four disaster steps Mitigation, Preparedness, Response, and Recovery across seven core domains, tightly aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Since the 112 學年度 (2023), Dacheng Elementary has taken over the Tan-chien Campus and established the Changhua County Featured Field-Study Centre (彰化縣特色遊學中心) — a county-level role that few rural schools play.
自 112 學年度起，大城國小接管潭墘校區，並成立彰化縣特色遊學中心——這是大城在縣級層面承擔的特殊任務，少有偏鄉小校能挑這個擔子。
The field-study programmes weave together disaster-prevention games, art-craft workshops (dye-fan making, clay drums), and bike tours of the township — so visiting students from across Changhua experience Dacheng's W.H.E.A.T. curriculum hands-on.
特色遊學課程把防災闖關、染扇與墘餅藝術手作、騎福逍遙遊（單車環鄉）串成一條完整體驗——讓全縣其他學校的學生親身走進大城的 W.H.E.A.T. 課程。
