Principal Lin Chih-ting became the eleventh principal of Yude Elementary School in August 2024 — joining a small rural campus of six classrooms and roughly sixty children, in Outer Bamboo Village of Erlin Township. He inherits a school that has, against every demographic trend in the region, grown its student body by 23.5%.

His leadership rests on the school's four school-based curricula: Soaring Arts, Yude Reading Time, Exploring Outer Bamboo, and A Taste of Erlin. In a school this small, every child gets time on the saxophone, time on the page, time in the village, and time at the table — and the principal's job, as he sees it, is to make sure none of that is lost in the shuffle.
