On August 31, the first day of school, SingHua held a welcome event for our new first graders, and teachers and students across the school turned out to greet the newest members of the SingHua family. The day included an entrance ceremony, wish cards, icebreaker games and a traffic-safety challenge, so the children began their school journey surrounded by laughter and good wishes.
2026.08.31開學日舉辦小一迎新活動，全校師生熱情迎接新生加入興華大家庭。活動安排入學禮、許願卡、破冰遊戲及交通安全闖關，讓孩子在歡笑與祝福中展開嶄新的學習旅程。
Older students raised their arms into an “iron bridge” for a little train of new students to pass through, then led them in English nursery rhymes, songs and dances, high-fiving each other to “Say Hello.” The traffic-safety challenge used building blocks, microchips and a smart traffic light: in a ball-pushing game, the children practiced stopping right away at a red light or a stop flag — learning “stop on red, go on green” through play.
活動中，高年級學長姐搭起「鐵橋小火車」，帶領新生唱跳英語童謠、互相擊掌 Say Hello，拉近彼此距離。交通安全闖關則結合積木、晶片與智慧紅綠燈，並透過推球挑戰，讓孩子練習遇紅燈、停字旗即刻停車，將「紅燈停、綠燈行」的觀念融入遊戲。
Teachers personally handed out Kuai Kuai snacks with their blessings — the snack’s name means “be good” — hoping the children would follow the rules and grow up safe and healthy. At lunchtime, the children ate their very first school meal, learning table manners and good hygiene as they began to settle into school life.
師長也親自送上祝福語乖乖，期許孩子遵守秩序、平安健康成長。午餐時間，孩子們體驗國小生活的第一餐，學習用餐禮儀與衛生習慣，在溫馨陪伴中逐步適應校園生活。
With this warm and varied welcome, our new students can feel at home at school — and with their teachers and older schoolmates beside them, they can explore bravely, learn happily and begin a journey full of friendship and growth.
