A small coastal school where every child — and every culture — belongs.
Sinbao Elementary sits in Sinbao, a coastal village in Fangyuan Township on the western edge of Changhua — a land of tidal wetlands, oyster farms, and sea breezes. Founded in 1981, our school has grown alongside this seaside community for more than four decades.
What makes us special is our diversity. Sinbao has long been one of Changhua's most multicultural schools, with children from many of Taiwan's Indigenous peoples — Amis, Bunun, Atayal, Paiwan, Saisiyat, and Tsou — learning side by side. We believe a small school can open onto a very wide world, and that learning English is one more door into it.
From Indigenous heritage to art, music, English, soccer, and Chinese yo-yo clubs — every child finds a place to shine at Sinbao.
With dedicated arts instruction and a strong English program, our students reach high — and win county honors in reading, listening, and reader's theater.
We teach children to be thankful — to parents, to teachers, and to the people and the land that care for them.
To value time, to value what we have, and to value one another — the quiet habits that make a good and kind person.
Take a one-minute tour of our school — in English.
From the wetlands of Fangyuan, our students learn that a small school on the coast can reach for the whole world — in two languages.
