From August 4 to 6, the Office of Student Affairs ran a three-day summer creative-writing workshop to build a writing culture on campus. Three award-winning, widely published writers led the sessions: Chang Ching-sung on modern poetry, Chu Yu-hsun on fiction, and Director Tsai Chi-hua on the essay. Principal Li Ming-chao encouraged students to keep writing outside class: it sharpens reading comprehension and logical thinking — essential for humanities students, and a real help to science students' grasp of their own subjects.

學務處於 8 月 4 日至 6 日連續辦理 3 天暑假文學創作工作坊，推廣本校文學創作風氣、提升學生文藝素養。講座均為大師級人物：新詩組張青松老師、小說組朱宥勳老師、散文組蔡淇華主任。李明昭校長鼓勵同學課餘多創作，從中增進閱讀理解與邏輯思考——不僅是社會組必備的能力，自然組同學具備後亦有助於理科的理解。

The Chinese School of the Chinese Community Center of Capital District of New York — CCC Chinese School — visited on August 2 and 3. Organised with My Culture Connect and our English department, a group of Chinese-American teenagers from New York City high schools spent two afternoons on campus. Principal Li Ming-chao greeted them in person, encouraged Sihu students to talk with the visitors in English, and taught the guests a few phrases of Taiwanese. Activities ran all afternoon: icebreaker introductions, indigo-dyed postcard making, a campus tour and team games.

溪高重視國際交流，於 2026 年 8 月 2、3 日喜迎紐約首府中文學校蒞校參訪。在彰化縣人師教育協會與本校英文科老師的規劃下，一群就讀紐約市高中的華裔青年進行 2 個下午的交流。李明昭校長親自歡迎，並在歡迎式教了他們幾句臺語；活動包含破冰自我介紹、藍染明信片製作、校園巡禮與分組遊戲。

The 23rd Baiguoshan Cup, held on August 1, was organised by the Yuanlin Basketball Committee — chaired by our honorary parents' association president Yu Jui-hung — to give young people a healthy way to spend the summer. With Principal Li Ming-chao cheering courtside, the Sihu squad fought for every possession and finished 3rd in the senior-high division.

員林市籃球委員會（由溪高榮譽家長會長游瑞宏先生擔任會長）為提倡青少年於暑假從事正當休閒活動，於 8 月 1 日辦理第 23 屆百果山盃籃球賽。李明昭校長蒞臨現場為子弟兵加油打氣，溪高籃球隊將士用命，勇奪賽會高中組第 3 名。

Over two days the Office of Student Affairs — joined by the newly graduated "Little Penguin" service team and Grade 11 mentors — ran a full programme to settle incoming students into the Sihu family. Principal Li Ming-chao introduced the motto (Filial Piety, Respect, Diligence, Simplicity), the story behind the crest, and the school song, then explained how senior high goes deeper and wider than junior high. Three parting hopes: own your role, master Grade 10 work while you are in Grade 10, and keep a place in your heart for the people beside you.

為使溪高新鮮人快速認識學校、無縫接軌融入這個大家庭，學務處結合高三剛畢業的小企鵝服務隊及高二導生，規劃 2 天豐富的新生體驗課程。李明昭校長介紹溪高的象徵：校訓（孝敬勤樸）、校徽設計緣由與校歌；並說明高中課程加深加廣、選修多元。校長以三件事與新生共勉：做好自己份內的事情與角色；高一把高一的書讀好；在心裡留一塊給身邊的人。

On July 30, Principal Li Ming-chao attended the Ministry of Education's joint inauguration ceremony for national senior-high principals. Minister Cheng Ying-yao thanked the principals for their work, described education as the strongest foundation beneath Taiwan's semiconductor and high-tech industries, and urged school leaders to hold to professional judgment in the age of AI. A friendly campus, the Minister stressed, can never be only a slogan: the first task of any incoming principal is campus safety — "zero bullying, zero drugs" — with teachers and parents working side by side to protect every student.

李明昭校長 7 月 30 日參加教育部辦理之 115 學年度國立高級中等學校校長聯合布達典禮。鄭英耀部長致詞感謝各位校長的付出，指出臺灣教育在各項國際評比中的優異表現，是半導體與高科技產業最強的基石，期許全體校長在 AI 時代堅守教育專業。鄭部長並強調，友善校園絕對不能只是口號，上任第一要務就是落實校園安全整備，徹底做到「零霸凌、零吸毒」，結合教師與家長的力量，共同守護校園學子。

The Wind Band's 27th annual concert, "Youth in Duet, Movements in Seven Colors," filled the hall on July 18. Principal Li Ming-chao thanked conductor Hsu Pei-chia for treating every member like family, and noted that the band has held the Changhua County ensemble championship for years running with Excellence honors in the Central Region. The programme drew on beloved animation scores — How to Train Your Dragon, a Joe Hisaishi–Miyazaki suite and Demon Slayer — and ended with the school song, played by the band and sung by the whole audience.

溪湖高中管樂隊第 27 屆成果發表會以「雙響青春．七彩樂章」為主題，於 7 月 18 日熱鬧登場。李明昭校長致詞感謝指揮徐珮珈老師悉心陪伴、視團員如己出；溪高管樂隊多年蟬聯彰化縣管樂合奏冠軍，並獲中區優等佳績。演出精選《馴龍高手》、久石讓宮崎駿組曲及《鬼滅之刃》等動畫配樂，最後管樂隊演奏校歌，台下觀眾一起唱和。

Sihu hosted the K-12 Education Administration's annual New Century Leadership Camp — the 25th cohort, foundation level, Central Region — under the theme "Youth Reading Changhua, Growing a Sustainable Vision." Running July 1–5, it gathered 94 campers, 20 mentor teachers and 3 staff. A Lukang city escape game, four themed walking routes through Sihu and a self-media production project pushed participants to explore local culture and practise teamwork. Framed by the SDGs, the programme looked closely at the Dongluo River ecosystem, Sihu's old main street, the sugar refinery and the grape industry, with water-safety training built in.

溪高承辦國教署年度活動——115 年度新世紀領導人才培育營（第 25 期初階．中區），以〈青年走讀彰化培養永續視野〉為主題，7 月 1 日至 5 日辦理，共 94 名學員、20 位輔導教師及 3 位工作人員參與。活動透過鹿港城市實境解謎、溪湖四大特色走讀路線及自媒體成果創作，引導青年探索地方文化；課程結合 SDGs 理念認識東螺溪生態、溪湖中街、溪湖糖廠及葡萄產業，並融入水域安全體驗。

Congratulations to Chinese-literature teacher Cheng of our faculty, awarded 2nd place in calligraphy at the 31st Taichung Dadun Fine Arts Exhibition for a work on Wang Anshi's poem "Zhongshan Jishi."

恭賀本校國文科鄭O勳老師榮獲第 31 屆臺中市大墩美展書法類第 2 名，作品主題為王安石〈鍾山即事〉。

Our warmest thanks to Matsuki Akiko, the 10th-term Japanese exchange partner, for nearly a year on campus sharing Japanese culture. The Japanese elective filled up with hands-on sessions: bright yukata try-ons, takoyaki and sushi making, a tea ceremony, and folding samurai helmets from paper — Japan experienced without an expensive flight. At the farewell party the year was called time well spent, with a hope to return soon: the Mazu pilgrimage, Sihu's Jianjiao rites, the oyster fields on the Changhua coast, Sihu's vineyards, the little sugar-refinery train, Taiwanese oolong, and making aiyu jelly.

感謝第 10 期日本交流夥伴松木亞紀子，近一年來駐校分享日本文化，學生獲益良多！日文選修課融入許多體驗課程：日本浴衣體驗、章魚燒製作、壽司製作、茶道體驗以及武士帽的摺紙實作，讓學生不用重金遠赴日本就能體驗日本文化。她在台灣亦體驗了許多道地的台灣文化，在歡送會直呼不虛此行：媽祖繞境、溪湖建醮、彰化海邊蚵田、溪湖葡萄園、溪湖糖廠的小火車、台灣烏龍茶、愛玉製作。

Sihu and Zhushan Senior High School presented the results of their jointly run distance courses in Korean and Multimedia AI, with the Korean class opened up as a public observation lesson. The programme is part of the Ministry of Education's push for diverse electives and shared teaching staff across schools: it widens what students are able to study, and could grow into full cross-school online courses so that more students benefit from digital learning.

溪湖 & 竹山高中跨校遠距課程「韓語」及「多媒體 AI」成果發表（韓語公開觀課）。這是教育部多元選修課程與跨校師資共享的一環，可拓展學生的學習視野，未來亦可發展成跨校線上課程，讓更多學生因數位課程而受惠。

Sihu's English teachers run an elective built around English picture books: it trains reading comprehension, and asks students to fold their own illustrations into the storybooks — drawing instead of telling, using imaginative lines and colour to pull a reader into an English story. The class then carried its books to a nearby kindergarten and read them aloud, practising spoken English while sharing the work with the community.

有溪高真好！溪高英文老師開設英語繪本選修課，除訓練高中學生的英文閱讀理解能力，並鼓勵學生將插畫融入英語故事書，以畫代話，用充滿想像力的線條與色彩，吸引大家來閱讀英語故事。英文老師並帶著學生到鄰近幼兒園做英語繪本分享，除可訓練學生的英語表達能力，並與社區共享教學成果。

A year of work by the Art Club, made under their teachers' guidance, went on show in the school library from June 11 to 24: oil-pastel paintings, illustration series, hand-bound little zines and more. Every student and teacher was warmly invited to come and take a look.

本校美術社在指導老師帶領下，社員們經一年努力創作，成果豐碩、作品精彩！訂於 6 月 11 日至 6 月 24 日假本校圖書館舉辦成果展，敬邀全校師生蒞臨欣賞。

The Office of Academic Affairs applied to the Changhua County Cultural Affairs Bureau to host an outstanding company from the county's theatre festival, and the Chen Li-hsiang Taiwanese Opera Troupe — Changhua's outstanding performing group for 2026 — answered with its new production. Before the curtain, the lead actor walked students through the story with a slide deck. The piece fuses the essence of traditional Taiwanese opera with contemporary stagecraft: a baffling murder case, and a life tangled in love, hatred, greed and consequence. When greed and wrath harden into invisible nails, who is really being nailed down — the other person, or yourself?

115 年度彰化縣傑出演藝團隊年度製作——陳麗香歌仔戲團《貪瞋釘》蒞校演出。由本校教務處向彰化縣文化局申請彰化劇場節傑出團隊蒞校演出，不僅讓學生有機會觀賞民俗劇團的精湛演出，亦由劇中洞悉人性與忠孝節義；演出前主角並用簡報向學生說明劇情架構。當「貪」、「瞋」化作無形的釘子，究竟釘住的是他人，還是自己？
