End-of-Term: Walk, Clean-Up, and Taiwanese-Language Concert
With the school term winding down, Sigang turned the last day into a walk-and-do. The whole school hiked together to the Dingzhuang Campus, reading the neighbourhood by foot and stretching out winter legs along the way.
As soon as we arrived, brooms came out. Children fanned across the grounds, sorted recyclables, and worked the place into a clean welcome for the new term.
Then came the noise: a lively Taiwanese-language singing contest and a round of riddles and “tail-cut” sayings. Children sang their hearts out and shouted answers before the host could finish — language and culture learned in the same breath as laughter.
A day that moved between motion and music — and a perfect bookend for the term.
