Right before graduation, Grade 6 headed into the auditorium for something a little different: a hands-on water safety workshop led by professional lifeguards from the Changhua County Water Lifesaving Association.
Students tried on life jackets, watched safety cartoons, and learned the "Five Steps of Rescue" — shout, call, reach, throw, row — a simple reminder that helping others safely always starts with keeping yourself safe first. They also picked up the "Five Do's of Self-Rescue" and the "Five Don'ts of Drowning Prevention," practical rules for real life near water.
Knowing how to stay safe is what keeps you free from danger.
Huge thanks to Coach Tsai, Coach Lai, Coach Chen, and Coach Tseng for their dedication. Watching footage of toddlers in the Netherlands already training in the water was a good reminder: there's still so much we can teach our children about staying safe.
