Welcome to Luoqing Elementary School, a public elementary school in Beidou Township, Changhua County. Our name — Luoqing — was borrowed in 1953 from a Qing-dynasty academy that once stood here, training local scholars in Chinese letters. We carry that name forward as a promise: that a school can love the classics and still imagine like a child.
We are best known as a fairytale campus: a Calligraphy Corridor lined with paper-cut kirin, a Poetry Garden where every pillar holds a fill-in-the-blank poem, an Owl Theatre under a banyan tree, a Rainbow Track in four colors, and a Memory Slope painted with characters from Thumbelina, the Tortoise and the Hare, and Jack and the Beanstalk. The campus itself teaches.
Now in its third year of bilingual education, Luoqing pairs traditional culture with English fluency — dragon dance and recorder ensemble alongside English-medium PE classes and a Tang-poetry singing program. Together they shape children who can read the world in two languages without forgetting where they stand.
Eight named spaces across the Luoqing campus — each designed so children learn just by walking through.
