Heren Elementary sits at the southern edge of Hemei Township. It opened its doors in September 2000, and from the 2015 school year has kept its enrolment deliberately capped — a calm, well-regarded neighbourhood school with the firm backing of the community around it.
和仁國小位於和美鎮南端，89 年 9 月設立招生，104 學年度起實施學生人數總量管制。校風優良穩健，深獲地方肯定與支持。
Our staff, our parents' association and our volunteer team work the same patch of ground together. We watch for what each child needs to learn, look for what each child might become, and try to build the best possible place for that to happen — a school where learning is a joy: discovering what is wonderful, and giving it your full attention.

Two trees that everyone at Heren knows by heart.
兩種樹，和仁的每個人都記得。
On both sides of the front gate, a stand of golden-shower trees flowers the whole year round — graceful, gold, and fluttering down to welcome students in each morning. At the roundabout in the front courtyard stands a Middle-Eastern date palm, planted with the help of the parents' association in the school's earliest years. Twenty-odd summers and winters later, it stands tall over the courtyard — a landmark view of Heren.
校門口兩側的黃槐樹群全年開花，樹姿優美、金黃翩翩，每日歡迎師生入校；前庭圓環處的中東海棗，是設校初年家長會協助種下的，陪伴師生二十年寒暑，如今已高拔挺立，是和仁重要的代表校景。

A painted arcade and an aesthetics corridor. The Cook House food-and-aesthetics studio. The Book-思議 Library. Heren's own vegetable plot — "one mǔ of field." An AI English Resource Centre, a coding and computing base, a block-building classroom, and a central kitchen. Together they widen what this school is able to teach.

When the bell rings, Heren's children pour out onto the track, the courts and the shaded playground — a healthy body and an eye for beauty are part of the plan here, right alongside reading and coding.
