This week Guosheng Elementary launched its ever-popular Science Play Club — through a series of hands-on, experience-first activities, letting children "learn by playing, learn by doing," and discover the wonders of natural science step by step.
本週國聖國小開辦了深受孩子喜愛的科學遊戲社團，透過一系列動手操作、親身體驗的活動，讓孩子在「玩中學、做中學」，一步步發現自然科學的奧妙。
From hand-launched gliders, air-and-pressure experiments, and balance-and-center-of-gravity challenges to playful chemistry, observation, and hands-on activities — every activity had children thinking, trying, and adjusting for themselves, then finding the answer through what they observed. In this classroom, it's not just about "knowing" — it's about learning to observe, question, experiment, and verify, building real problem-solving skills.
從手擲滑翔機飛行、空氣與壓力實驗、平衡與重心挑戰，到趣味化學、觀察與操作，每一項活動都讓孩子親自思考、嘗試、修正，再從現象中找出答案。課堂裡不只是「知道」，更重要的是學會觀察、提問、實驗與驗證，培養解決問題的能力。
Watching the children focus intently, discuss enthusiastically, and light up with excitement when an experiment finally works, we believe science isn't just knowledge from a textbook — it's a world waiting to be discovered, all around us in everyday life. Research also shows that weaving play and inquiry into science teaching helps boost students' motivation, engagement, and attitude toward science.
