This week the school held a Nature Observation Camp, hoping to lead children into the wonderful world of nature — starting from the insects they see every day, learning to observe with their eyes, explore with questions, and feel the diversity and beauty of life with their hearts.
這週學校辦理「自然生態觀察營」，希望帶著孩子走進大自然的奇妙世界，從日常生活中常見的昆蟲出發，學習用眼睛觀察、用問題探索，也用心感受生命的多樣與美好。
Using pictures, insect specimens, and real samples, the teacher guided the children to learn about insects' body structures and explored the question: "Are an insect's eyes simple eyes or compound eyes?" It turns out that the compound eyes of many insects are made up of many tiny lenses, helping them observe their surroundings and detect movement. The children listened intently, raised their hands eagerly, and discovered many secrets of nature beyond the textbook through close observation and hands-on interaction.
課程中，老師透過圖片、昆蟲標本與實物，引導孩子認識昆蟲的身體構造，並探討「昆蟲的眼睛是單眼還是複眼？」原來許多昆蟲的複眼，是由許多小眼組成，可以幫助牠們觀察周遭環境與動靜。孩子們專注聆聽、踴躍舉手，也在近距離觀察與互動中，發現許多課本之外的自然奧祕。
Natural science isn't just about memorizing answers — what matters more is cultivating children's powers of observation, curiosity, and inquiry. The moment a child is willing to crouch down to look at a small insect and wonder how it lives, they've already taken their first step toward getting close to nature and respecting life.
自然科學不只是記住答案，更重要的是培養孩子的觀察力、好奇心與探究能力。當孩子願意蹲下來看看一隻小昆蟲、思考牠如何生活，就已經踏出了親近自然、尊重生命的第一步。
