On July 1, outstanding students from Fangyuan Elementary's summer study program visited the National Library of Public Information for a day full of discovery and learning.
More than just a place to borrow books.
In the morning, a professional guide introduced the library's facilities and services, walking students through how to borrow and return books and explaining the reading resources available for every age group — showing that a modern library is far more than a place to check out books; it is a hub for lifelong learning.
Students then visited the “Bear Exhibition,” where experts explained the habits, habitat, and conservation of the Formosan black bear, deepening their appreciation for Taiwan's natural ecology.
In the afternoon, students learned to use the library's e-book platform, discovering how digital resources let reading cross the limits of time and space — and building the confidence to keep learning independently with technology.
Reading opens the best beginning to understanding the world.
Through this study tour, students gained more than knowledge — they built reading literacy, information literacy, and a habit of lifelong learning. We hope this passion for reading stays with them as they grow.

上午在專業導覽老師的帶領下，孩子們認識了圖書館豐富的空間設施與貼心服務，學習現代圖書館如何借書、還書，也了解不同年齡層的閱讀資源與多元館藏，體會圖書館不只是借書的地方，更是終身學習的重要場域。
接著參觀精彩的「有熊展」，透過專家學者生動有趣的解說，孩子們深入認識臺灣黑熊的生活習性、棲息環境及保育的重要性，提升對臺灣生態環境的認識與珍惜。
下午則學習電子書平台的使用方式，親自體驗如何借閱電子書，探索豐富的數位學習資源，讓閱讀突破時間與空間的限制，也培養善用科技自主學習的能力。
閱讀，是認識世界最美好的開始。
透過此次遊學活動，孩子們不僅收穫了豐富的知識，更培養了閱讀素養、資訊素養及終身學習的能力，期待這份對閱讀與學習的熱情，能持續陪伴孩子們成長！
