Located in Fangyuan Township, Changhua County, Fangyuan Elementary School has been a center of learning and tradition since 1915. Redesigned with green-building concepts, our campus is a blend of history and modern educational practice — its unique ship-like architecture symbolizing an adventurous voyage in the ocean of knowledge.
Our gate, adorned with local oyster shells, and our vivid sea-ox mural reflect our deep connection with the local marine heritage. Educational installations like oyster-rack walls enrich our students' understanding of the natural environment, and regular visits to the nation's largest muddy tidal flat — just ten minutes' walk away — connect students directly with ocean conservation.

以在地蚵殼裝飾的大門與生動的海牛壁畫，訴說著我們與海洋文化的深厚淵源；蚵架牆等教育裝置，讓孩子親近自然環境。距離濕地僅十分鐘步程，學校經常帶孩子走進全國最大的泥質潮間帶，體驗獨有的「海牛文化」，寓教於樂的教學模式曾榮獲教育部「教學卓越金質獎」。
Fewer than a hundred students, yet a campus rich with ocean heritage, imagination, and community.
Fangyuan's tidal flat is oyster country — for generations, farmers used ox-drawn carts to harvest oysters offshore, a practice known as "sea-ox culture." Our students learn to give discarded oyster shells new life, reshaping them into hanging chime installations and campus art, and walk the flats themselves to see the tradition still at work.
芳苑潮間帶是蚵仔的故鄉——早期居民以牛車在潮間帶收蚵，這項傳統被稱為「海牛文化」。孩子們學習讓廢棄蚵殼重獲新生，做成蚵殼風鈴與校園裝置藝術，也親自走進潮間帶，看見這項傳統依然運作著。
Tucked into a corner of campus is a storybook building shaped like the sea itself — waves for eaves, shell-shaped windows, a whale breaching the roofline. Inside, an ocean-themed reading world gives children of this coastal town an inviting place to fall in love with books.

A school of fewer than a hundred students, yet more than ten clubs to choose from — including bilingual teaching and photography — so every child finds a passion to pursue. Fangyuan also regularly joins beach clean-ups and food-to-farm education, keeping school, family, and coastal community closely connected.
學生數不到百人的小校，卻提供十多種社團選擇，包含雙語教學、攝影等，照顧學生多元興趣。芳苑也經常舉辦淨灘、食農教育等社區活動，凝聚親師生與鄉土情感。
