“Good morning!” “How are you?” “Happy Birthday!” — familiar phrases like these are the fruit of what our students practice every day. Fangyuan Elementary held an English contest for its upper-grade classes, using the Kahoot game platform to bring the school's daily “Sentence of the Day” lessons to life.
Turning everyday practice into real performance.
The contest content combined everyday conversation, festival English, and real-life situations, giving children the chance to put what they've learned into action.
Reciting with courage.
Alongside it, our first- and second-graders bravely took the stage for a Dizi Gui recitation contest. Even the youngest children stood up with focus and confidence, reciting from memory — every attempt to speak was a step toward greater self-assurance, and every challenge, a mark of growth.
These playful, engaging contests didn't just build students' spoken English — they helped children fall in love with speaking English naturally as part of daily life, while the Dizi Gui recitation grounded that same spirit of practice in everyday character education.

弟子規擂臺賽：一、二年級的小朋友勇敢站上舞臺，認真背誦、自信開口，雖然年紀小，卻展現出十足的勇氣與學習努力。每一次開口，都是自信的累積；每一次挑戰，都是成長的足跡。
透過寓教於樂的競賽，不僅提升學生的英語表達能力，也讓孩子在歡樂的氛圍中愛上英語、樂於開口說英語，將英語自然融入日常生活；弟子規也在生活教育中扎實實踐。
