Made up of students from grades 3 to 6, the Harmonica Club is where members learn joyfully, express themselves, and build teamwork. Every year, they take the stage at the Changhua County Student Music Competition to share their music.
由本校3到6年級學生組成，希望每位成員都能在歡樂中學習、表達自我、發展團隊合作精神，每年也透過參與彰化縣學生音樂比賽，讓學生能站上舞台，享受音樂。
New members receive a school-provided violin, with guest instructor Hsieh Tsung-wei teaching every Thursday. The school works to give Fangyuan's children a chance to build musical skill and artistic character — four cohorts have joined since 2020.
本校小提琴社團，入團新生的小提琴樂器由學校提供，師資為外聘弦樂聯盟謝聰偉老師，每星期四進校指導，希望能讓芳苑的孩子接受藝術氣息的薰陶，培養音樂素養。目前成立109到113共4團。
The Art Club is where students who love art can let their creativity run free — learning sketching, colored pencil, and ink wash techniques. A local specialty is the "fishing buoy" project: students turn buoys collected from Fangyuan's beach into one-of-a-kind artworks.
畫畫社團是一個讓喜愛藝術的同學盡情發揮創意的地方，課程內容包含素描、色鉛筆、水墨等基礎繪畫技巧。結合在地特色，透過芳苑海邊的「浮球」創作活動，讓學生將回收的浮球變身為獨一無二的藝術品。
The Dance Club helps children build rhythm and confidence through movement, expressing creativity and teamwork through music — one of the most popular performances at school events.
舞蹈社團讓孩子透過肢體律動培養節奏感與自信，在音樂中展現創意與團隊默契，也是學校活動裡最受歡迎的表演之一。
The Taekwondo Club teaches basic forms and etiquette, building strength and focus kick by kick, while cultivating respect for opponents and a never-give-up sporting spirit.
跆拳道社團教導孩子基本招式與應對禮儀，在一踢一踹間鍛鍊體能與專注力，也培養尊重對手、堅持到底的運動家精神。
Through brush and ink practice, the Calligraphy Club introduces students to the beauty and culture of traditional writing. From basic strokes to full compositions, the practice builds both handwriting skill and focus.
書法社團透過筆墨練習，讓學生認識傳統書寫藝術的美感與文化內涵。從基本筆劃、結構練習到作品創作，提升書寫能力與專注力。
"Mechanism King" blends creativity with hands-on building, using gears, pulleys, levers, and springs to create moving contraptions. Students learn physics and engineering thinking through play, building logic and problem-solving along the way.
「機關王」是一門融合創意與動手實作的課程，讓學生透過齒輪、滑輪、連桿、彈力等基礎機械原理，製作出各種會動的創意作品，培養邏輯推理與解決問題的能力。
The Track & Field Club practices running and jumping fundamentals after class, building stamina and strength — and regularly brings home wins at school and inter-school sports days.
田徑社團利用課餘時間練習跑跳基本動作，培養孩子的體能與耐力，也是校內外運動會上為班爭光的常勝軍。
In the Seed Art class, children gather seeds, fallen leaves, and driftwood from campus and the shoreline, then piece them together into original creations — discovering creativity in materials nature leaves behind.
種子創作課程帶孩子撿拾校園與海濱的種子、落葉與漂流木，動手拼貼出屬於自己的作品，從大自然的素材裡發現創意。
Indonesian turmeric rice, known as "Nasi Kuning," is a traditional dish with a golden color and rich aroma that symbolizes good fortune. Through this dish, students learn about Indonesian food culture and get to cook it themselves.
印尼薑黃飯，又稱「Nasi Kuning」，是印尼常見的傳統料理，色澤金黃、香氣濃郁，象徵著吉祥與祝福。透過這道料理，學生能認識印尼飲食文化，並實作體驗異國飲食的魅力。
Centered on students' favorite ingredient — sesame — this food-and-farming class traces the journey "from field to table." Upper-grade students bake their own sesame milk-crumb toast, learning about nutrition and local farming.
本課程以學生喜愛的「芝麻」為主題，結合食農教育，從「產地到餐桌」認識芝麻的栽種、生產與加工過程。高年級的學生親手製作芝麻奶酥吐司，培養愛惜食物、支持在地農業的態度。
Sesame oil chicken is a traditional Taiwanese warming dish made from chicken, ginger, and sesame oil. Since sesame is a local Fangyuan crop, this class teaches students where sesame oil comes from through demonstrations and simple cooking.
麻油雞是台灣傳統的溫補料理，主要食材為雞肉、薑與麻油。因芝麻為芳苑在地的食材，課程帶領學生認識麻油的製作來源，透過示範或簡單烹調活動了解傳統飲食文化。
Many of Fangyuan's older brick buildings carry real history, including traditional three-sided courtyard houses. Their timber was once shipped over from mainland China, and wealthier households even carved lucky symbols into their window frames.
芳苑的建築有很多早期磚造的房子，都有其歷史性，古厝中也有傳統的三合院建築。建材運用的是當時從大陸運送到台灣的木材，如果當時是大戶人家，窗戶上也會看到寓意吉祥的雕刻。
Living by the sea, Fangyuan has long honored Mazu, the sea goddess. Putian Temple is one of the community's spiritual centers, guarded by the statues Thousand-Mile Eyes and Wind-Following Ears, with a famous "floating-wall Guanyin."
芳苑靠海，以海為生，有著海神的信仰，媽祖便是海上的守護神。普天宮就是本地的信仰中心之一，供奉媽祖及其他神明，兩側還有千里眼及順風耳鎮守，其中浮壁觀音非常有名。
"Sea oxen" are the cattle once used to haul oysters across the tidal flat — Fangyuan is one of the last places in Taiwan where this tradition survives. Today, visitors can even ride out onto the flat to see how oysters grow.
海牛就是黃牛，是下潮間帶運蚵的牛，目前利用黃牛下潮間帶運蚵的大概只有芳苑了，已列為文化資產。目前也發展出載人下潮間帶體驗、認識蚵的成長採蚵及挖貝類等活動。
This is Taiwan's largest muddy tidal flat, stretching five to six kilometers wide. Between the rise and fall of the tide, it nurtures countless creatures — fiddler crabs, mudskippers, shellfish — and rests migratory birds along their journey.
本區位於全台最大的泥質潮間帶，足足有五六公里寬，潮起潮落間，孕育著無數生命，各類招潮蟹、彈塗魚、貝類等，同時也是遷徙候鳥的停留中繼站。
Fanwa Farm grows vegetables hydroponically, mainly lettuce — a method with denser planting, less weeding, fewer pests, and higher-quality yields. The school partners with the farm so students can plant, observe, and record growth firsthand.
番挖農場為本地種植水蔬菜的農場，採用水耕方式種植蔬菜，主要產物是生菜。學校的校本課程也與番挖農場配合，指導學生種植觀察記錄，讓學生了解家鄉產業。
Mangroves get their name from their reddish branches and bark, once used to make red dye. A boardwalk built through Fangyuan's mangrove area lets visitors stroll past fiddler crabs and mudskippers, and catch an unforgettable sunset.
紅樹林是因其樹幹枝條為紅色，樹皮也可提煉紅色染料，所以叫做紅樹林。我們家鄉在紅樹林區興建步道，漫步其中可看到招潮蟹、彈塗魚等多樣生物，夕陽西下時景色絕美。
The Oil-Seed School is a working sesame factory turned visitor center, teaching how sesame grows and the seasonal sayings tied to it, with hands-on sesame-paste making. It partners with the school for field trips to the sesame fields.
油籽學堂是本地芝麻產業的觀光工廠，場內有著芝麻生長的介紹及依節氣而生的芝麻諺語，還能讓人手作芝麻醬。也與學校合作讓學生實地至芝麻田種植觀察記錄。
Fangyuan sits where the Zhuoshui River meets the sea, giving it sandy soil perfect for growing plump peanuts. The town's streets are lined with long-established peanut factories known for their peanut candy and peanut oil.
芳苑位於彰化西南角，是濁水溪流入海之處，土地偏砂質土，很適合花生的種植。芳苑街上有很多花生工廠，都是老牌子字號，產品有各種口味的花生糖及食用花生油。
Fangyuan's oysters are raised on hanging racks in the tidal flat, feeding on plankton for one to two years before harvest. Because the tide leaves them only half-submerged, they get extra sun — earning them the nickname "pearl oyster."
芳苑潮間帶的蚵養殖方式為平掛式，靠吃海中浮游生物長大，大概需要1-2年才可收成。因潮汐關係，蚵有一半時間泡在海水中、一半時間曬太陽，口感比較Q彈，因此有個美麗的名字叫珍珠蚵。
Though Fangyuan is a rural township today, it was once a bustling fishing port with plenty of jobs and a dense population. Many of the era's administrative offices remain here — the township office, health center, fire station, post office, and library.
芳苑現為偏鄉，但早期為繁華的漁港，工作機會多、人口密集，當時的行政中心皆設於此，鄉公所、衛生所、消防隊、郵局、圖書館、農會、漁會等皆位居此處。
Living near the tidal flat, many families in our community make their living raising oysters — and tying oyster shells onto lines is the work they do before heading out. Our school keeps the tradition alive by hosting a lively contest each year, bringing together students, parents, and the community.
學校靠近潮間帶所以會有蚵產業，社區居民家長有的以養蚵為生，綁蚵殼是他們下潮間帶前的工作。雖然現代社會養蚵產業日趨沒落，但學校秉持著文化傳承舉辦綁蚵殼大賽，讓社區、家長、學生一起參與，每年都很熱鬧且競爭激烈。
Our Winter & Summer Study Tours reward students who work hard during the term with a chance to broaden their horizons. Usually held on the very first day of vacation, teachers plan visits to factories, cultural parks, and other special destinations.
我們的寒暑假遊學是為了鼓勵在學期中努力念書有好成績的孩子，有增廣見聞的機會，大部分會安排在寒暑假的第一天，學校老師會安排學習地點，如觀光工廠、文化園區等各地方特色之地。
These cheerful mother-and-calf sea-ox statues welcome visitors right on our playground. In Fangyuan, the sea ox once pulled carts of oysters in from the tidal flats — now these smiling statues remind every student of that hardworking history.
操場上這對母子海牛雕像，總是笑臉迎接大家。牠們讓人想起早年芳苑海牛拉車載蚵的辛勤身影，也成了校園裡最療癒的拍照地標。
This 3D mural brings Fangyuan's famous yellow cattle to life — the very animals once used to haul oyster carts along the coast. Look closely: no matter where you stand, the cattle's eyes seem to follow you!
這幅3D牆繪畫的是芳苑著名的「黃牛」，早年就是靠牠們拖車載運蚵仔。仔細看，不管站在哪個角度，牛的眼神都好像一直盯著你看！
Our "tide wall" was painted by teachers and students together, filled with the sea creatures that live on Fangyuan's tidal flats. You won't find this mural anywhere else online — it's one of a kind, made by our own school community.
這面「潮間帶美牆」由老師與學生共同彩繪，畫滿芳苑潮間帶的海洋生物。這是網路上找不到的獨家作品，全靠師生與社區一起完成！
Completed in 2022 and named by public vote, Fanghua Haiyuan was once the "Hong Gua Library," donated by our school's very first alumnus back in the 1960s. Our principal raised funds from alumni and the community to redesign it in a Gaudí-inspired style, with a white dolphin (a protected species also called the "Mazu fish") and a stingray perched on its wavy roofline — and even a mudskipper whose mouth doubles as a real water faucet!
「芳華海苑」於111年（2022年）完工，由公開票選命名，前身是1960年代學校第一位校友「洪掛」捐建的洪掛圖書館。校長號召校友與社區募款整修，以高第風格重新設計，屋頂波浪造型上棲息著保育類白海豚（又稱「媽祖魚」）與魟魚，牆上彈塗魚的嘴巴還是真正的水龍頭喔！
Decorated by teachers and students together, the Peanut Wall celebrates two things Fangyuan is famous for: oysters and peanuts. Our campus is also home to a friendly white cattle statue named Xiaobai ("Little White") — most cattle here are yellow, so he really stands out!
「蚵果牆」由師生共同彩繪，紀念芳苑最有名的兩樣特產：蚵仔與花生。校園裡還有一隻白色的牛雕像，名叫「小白」——因為這裡的牛大多是黃牛，小白顯得特別亮眼！
Near the playground, a cascade of oyster shells forms our very own "oyster waterfall." These shell decorations are made the traditional Fangyuan way — and students even get to try tying the shells together themselves!
操場旁這片由蚵殼堆疊而成的「蚵瀑布」，是芳苑傳統工藝的展現。學生還能親手體驗綁蚵殼，感受在地文化的巧思。
Grade 1 students got a taste of Southeast Asian culture, learning about Indonesia's colorful layer cake, Kue Lapis, as part of our multicultural classroom activities.

Grade 4 took their school-based curriculum outdoors, exploring the tidal flats and posing for a group photo beside a driftwood art installation along the coast.
