Our School & Town Tour in English

During this summer's TFETP foreign-teacher English camp, our students became tour guides — and the whole tour was in English! With their foreign teacher, they walked visitors around our 120-year-old campus and out into the town of Erlin, pointing out the places they love most.

今年暑假的 TFETP 外師英語夏令營裡，孩子們當起了小小導覽員，而且全程用英文介紹！他們跟著外師，帶大家走過我們一百二十歲的校園，也走進二林小鎮，一一介紹自己最喜歡的角落。這個營隊屬於 114 學年度，台灣新的 115 學年度九月才開始。

The tour began at school. Students showed the old wooden buildings and the quiet historic houses on campus, explaining that these old places help everyone remember the past. Then they stopped at the Sugarcane Farmers' Memorial Hall, once a Japanese-era dormitory, where they told the story of the local farmers who, about a hundred years ago, worked hard and stood up bravely for one another — a story that still teaches Erlin children to be brave and kind.

導覽從學校開始。學生介紹了老木造校舍與校園裡安靜的歷史建築，說這些老地方幫大家記住過去的故事。接著他們來到由日治時期宿舍改建的蔗農紀念館，講述大約一百年前，當地蔗農努力工作、勇敢地為彼此挺身而出的故事，這份精神到現在還在教二林的孩子勇敢又善良。

Next came the tasty part. The children introduced Erlin's fresh fruit, local milk, and market snacks, and even reminded everyone that choosing good food is kind to our planet. The tour ended at Renhe Temple, a beautiful old temple in the heart of town. "We love Erlin, and we love our school — welcome to visit us!" the students said. Thank you to our foreign teacher and to every family who lets us share our hometown in English.

再來是最美味的部分。孩子們介紹二林的新鮮水果、在地牛奶和市場小吃，還提醒大家：選好的食物也是對地球溫柔。導覽最後停在小鎮中心的仁和宮，一座漂亮的老廟。學生們說：「我們愛二林，也愛我們的學校，歡迎來參觀！」謝謝外師，也謝謝每一個讓孩子用英文分享家鄉的家庭。
