Eighth in Taiwan, and the Shirt Passed On114 學年度小學生足球賽全國賽 · 榮耀落幕，夢想啟航

On July 5, at the Chaoma Football Field in Taichung, the whistle went for the last time on the 2025–26 National Elementary School Football Tournament. Dacheng Elementary School, carrying the colors of Changhua County into the school division, finished eighth in Taiwan.

Getting there took most of the school year. 773 teams entered this season; after nearly three months of county qualifying rounds, 198 came through to the national finals — nine days of football at a single stadium. To walk off that pitch inside the top eight is no small thing for a city primary school.

Every run, every tackle, every shot

This result belongs to every player who left everything on the pitch, to the coaching team who trained them through the year, to the teachers and parents who traveled to every match, and to everyone who has ever cheered this team on.

The children watered a dream with sweat and met each challenge with stubbornness. Every run, every tackle, every shot at goal carried the same refusal to give up — and showed what years of patient football teaching at Dacheng have grown.

Handing on the shirt

For the sixth-graders, this was not only the end of a national tournament. It was the most precious memory of their elementary football lives. Thank you for writing a chapter that is entirely your own; thank you for handing the courage, unity and persistence this team is known for down to every younger teammate.

Now the shirt, the responsibility and the honor pass formally to the fifth-graders. What is handed on is not only skill, but an attitude that does not step back from a challenge. What is taken up is not only a place on the pitch, but a promise to the team.

The next generation of Dacheng footballers will build on the ground their seniors laid — and spread their wings on the pitches ahead.
