Dacheng Elementary School

Welcome to Dacheng Elementary School. As a school, we are young — Dacheng has been teaching since 2004. But our roots reach far deeper: our affiliated kindergarten traces its history all the way back to 1917, and celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2017. New school, old heart.

歡迎來到大成國小。論校齡，我們很年輕——2004 年（民國 93 年）創校；但若論根，我們其實很深：附設幼兒園的歷史可一路追溯到 1917 年，並在 2017 年舉辦了創園百年慶。新學校，老靈魂。

Today Dacheng is one of Changhua City's larger elementary schools, on Ziqiang Road, with specialist rooms for science, computing, art, baking and sensory learning. Our crest says it best: two children holding up a single heart — education as one life moving another.

如今的大成，是彰化市規模較大的國小之一，坐落自強路上，設有自然、電腦、美勞、烘焙與感覺統合等專科教室。我們的校徽說得最好：兩個孩子，一起捧起一顆心——教育，是一個生命感動另一個生命。

Dacheng was built for a new century, and set out to be several things at once: a happy and safe hall of learning; a stronghold of education that passes on what lasts; a green, living environment the neighborhood is proud of; and a cultural landmark handed down through generations.

大成國小設校後於 93 學年度開始招生，是一所邁向新世紀優質的好學校：是快樂安全的學校殿堂；是永續傳承的教育堡壘；是社區引以為傲的有機環境；是世代相傳的文化標誌。

We hold to breakthrough and invention — so that children wear bright smiles as they learn, teachers shine with wisdom as they teach, parents look on with boundless hope, and the children of Dacheng see their dreams come true.

Every subject at Dacheng is mapped back to four pictures of the child we hope to send on to junior high — four words that tell teachers what a lesson is really for.

Dacheng runs its own Dacheng Bilingual Network for English learning, alongside a tablet for every student, AI and digital literacy, a farm-to-table agriculture class, and a school-wide reading culture. Four corners of a Dacheng day:

A city school with room to breathe: a full running track, an old banyan, mosaic art on the lamp posts and even on the washbasins — and a sky-bridge that says our name in English.
