With this idea in mind, Teacher Amanda — with the cooperative efforts of administrators, teachers, and staff at Dashin Elementary School — worked hard to deliver the experience of an authentic Thanksgiving meal to the students.

Popular traditional foods were prepared by hand, including caramelized sweet potatoes, green bean casserole, stuffing, corn, and apple pies. It was a memorable event for everyone, marking Teacher Amanda's first Thanksgiving in Taiwan and the first Thanksgiving for the students, teachers, staff, and administrators at Dashin Elementary School.
