A small school in the granary of Changhua, growing whole-hearted children 彰化穀倉裡的偏鄉小校，品格、科技、人文，培養全人的大安人
Da-An Elementary School was born from the wishes of local families in San-An and Da-Lun villages. In August 1950, community elders petitioned for a branch classroom; in 1953, the school became fully independent with its first principal, Chen Yun-cheng, leading the way. In 1968, it took its current name: Da-An — meaning "Great Peace."
Today, our 52 students grow up on a campus surrounded by Changhua's famous farmland — Tianzhong Township sits at the heart of the county's rice harvest. The school logo tells this story: an egg-shaped seed, a yellow sprout reaching upward, and three orbital rings in red, blue, and green.
大安國小的誕生，源於三安里、大崙里地方仕紳在 1950 年的請願。1953 年正式獨立，首任校長陳允成帶領大安走入歷史；1968 年更名為「大安國民小學」，取「大安」之意——大中至正，安詳和平。
今天，52 位大安人在磚紅色教學大樓裡長大。校徽裡，蛋形的種子外環是稻穗，象徵田中鎮這片彰化穀倉的土地；內裡的紅、藍、綠三環，代表品格、科技與人文——這三樣東西，是大安對每個孩子的期許。
The three orbital rings in Da-An's logo are not just design — they are the school's promise to every child.
Character is built through discipline, respect, and perseverance — not lectures. Da-An students learn character on the unicycle track, in the archery range, and in every competition they enter. Our unicycle team has claimed gold, silver, and bronze at the county mayor's cup year after year; our archers take the podium with the same focus and calm.
品格不是靠說教長出來的，是靠訓練、尊重、持之以恆練出來的。大安的孩子在獨輪車道、在射箭場、在每一場比賽裡，把品格騎出來、射出來。縣長盃獨輪車金牌，是品格最好的見證。
Technology is a tool for curiosity, not a destination. Da-An students compete in AI and STEAM creative competitions, explore problem-solving through the 機關王 (Rube Goldberg) curriculum, and carry tablets into the classroom as naturally as they carry textbooks. Science is something you make, not just something you memorize.
科技是好奇心的工具，不是終點。大安的孩子參加 AI 暨 STEAM 實作創意競賽、玩「機關王」解決問題課程、把平板當成文具般自然地帶進課堂。科學是做出來的，不是背出來的。
Humanity grows from art, music, nature, and stories. Da-An's 詩藝園 (Poetry & Arts Garden) is a moon-gate haven where students slow down and write. Our brass band played a concert at the summit of Hehuan Mountain — 3,417 metres above sea level — in 2021. Beauty belongs everywhere, even at the top of a mountain.
人文的素養，從藝術、音樂、自然與故事中長出來。大安的詩藝園是一道月洞門後的靜謐角落，讓孩子慢下來、寫詩。2021 年，師生帶著管樂團攀登合歡山主峰（3,417 公尺），在山頂奏響音樂——美，可以在任何地方落地。
Principal Tsai has led Da-An Elementary since August 2017 as the school's 12th principal. Under his leadership, the school vision — 誠樸・踏實・樂觀・進取 — shapes every activity, from mountaintop concerts to county unicycle championships.
蔡忠課校長自 2017 年 8 月起帶領大安國小，是第十二任校長。四個字的願景——誠樸、踏實、樂觀、進取——從山頂演奏會到縣長盃獨輪車金牌，都看得見這四個字的影子。
At the Changhua County Mayor's Cup Unicycle Championship, Da-An students claimed 4 gold, 1 silver, and 2 bronze medals. A school of 52 students producing podium finishers — because balance, courage, and practice are things any child can learn.
縣長盃獨輪車錦標賽，大安孩子拿下 4 金 1 銀 2 銅。一所 52 人的小校能站上頒獎台，因為平衡感、勇氣與練習，每個孩子都做得到。
Step through the round moon gate and enter 詩藝園 — Da-An's Poetry and Arts Garden. Red flowers bloom behind the circular arch, and the inscription above the gate invites students to slow down. In a world of speed, a garden gate teaches patience.
踏過那道圓形月洞門，進入詩藝園。紅花在拱門後盛開，門楣上的字邀請孩子放慢腳步。在這個講求速度的時代，一道花園門教會的，是等待與靜觀。
In 2021, every Da-An teacher and student climbed Hehuan Mountain — 3,417 metres above sea level — and performed a brass band concert at the summit. It was not just a hike; it was proof that a small school can reach any peak.
2021 年，全體大安師生攀登合歡山主峰，在 3,417 公尺的山頂吹奏管樂。那不只是一趟爬山，是大安人的宣言：小校也能登頂。
Da-An students compete and win across disciplines: archery team medals at the township championship, top placements in the AI & STEAM Creative Competition, English listening awards at the county English contest, and a library stocked with books donated by the oDr reading programme.
大安的孩子跨領域出賽、跨領域得獎：射箭錦標賽名次、AI 暨 STEAM 創意競賽評選、英聽王比賽獲獎，還有歐德百閱公益計畫捐贈的「幸福圖書室」，讓孩子隨時有書可讀。
