Local Language, Telling Our Hometown's Story

Wunde Elementary's Summer Learning Camp kept the excitement going! This year's theme was "Summer Learning Together — Local Language, Telling Our Hometown's Story," using rich and fun lessons to help children get to know local culture with laughter, and feel the charm of Taiwanese. ✨

文德國小夏日樂學營隊精彩不間斷！今年以「暑假一同樂學趣－本土語言話家鄉」為主題，透過豐富又有趣的課程，讓孩子在歡笑中認識本土文化，感受臺語的魅力。✨

The camp's content was rich and varied, including: 🎵 Children's songs — singing the flavor of Taiwanese, feeling the beauty of traditional nursery rhymes. 🗨️ Taiwanese banter — experiencing the fun and wit of the Taiwanese language. 🪀 Traditional Taiwanese toys — revisiting classic games. 🎨 Hands-on crafts — combining creativity and culture. 📖 Reading short Taiwanese passages aloud — building local language ability and confidence.

營隊內容精彩多元，包括：🎵 囡仔歌－唱出臺語韻味，感受傳統童謠之美。🗨️ 答喙鼓－體驗臺語語言的趣味與智慧。🪀 臺灣童玩－重溫傳統遊戲，感受童年的純真樂趣。🎨 手作課程－結合創意與文化，動手做、快樂學。📖 台語短文唸讀－培養孩子的本土語文能力與表達自信。

On top of that, the children went out into the community for a hands-on experience of traditional glove puppetry — getting to know puppet-show culture and admiring the art of puppeteering, moving from the classroom into real life, and feeling the depth of Taiwan's traditional culture in a real setting. 👏

此外，孩子們更走進社區，實地體驗傳統布袋戲，認識布袋戲文化、欣賞操偶藝術，從課堂走向生活，在真實情境中感受臺灣傳統文化的深厚底蘊。👏

Thank you to the instructors, community partners, and everyone who helped make this happen — letting children learn happily this summer and get to know their hometown's culture more deeply, so the seeds of local language and culture keep sprouting and growing in their hearts!
