Welcome to Wanshing Junior High School, founded in 1969 in Wanshing Village, northern Erlin. Our catchment is nine villages in the upper half of the township — including Wanshing, Zhenxing, Yongxing, Zhaojia, and Hualun — and our main feeder elementary schools are Wanshing Elementary and Hsinsheng Elementary.
萬興國中創校於 1969 年,立於二林鎮北部的萬興里。學區涵蓋鎮北九個里——萬興、振興、永興、趙甲、華崙等——主要生源國小為萬興國小與新生國小。
We are not in the township centre. We are out in the rice and peanut fields where Taiwan Highway 17 turns east into smaller country roads. The school is officially classified as a remote rural school — and that is the truth of where our students arrive from each morning, by school bus, by scooter behind a parent, by their own bicycles through the paddies.
我們不在鎮中心。我們在台 17 線轉向產業道路的稻穀與花生田之間。教育部正式將本校列為「偏遠地區學校」——這就是我們的孩子每天清晨抵達校門的真實路徑:校車、爸媽機車後座、自己騎腳踏車穿過田埂。
What we are is a school that decided not to chase the same metrics as a city campus. Instead, we serve three audiences at the same campus gate — our 119 students, the community elders learning digital tools in our Digital Opportunity Centre, and the two feeder elementary schools we send mobile DOC workshops back to. That is unusual for a junior high. That is who Wanshing is.
我們選擇了不和都市校競同一份成績單。我們選擇了在同一座校門裡服務三個族群——校內 119 位學生、來上 DOC 數位課程的社區長輩、以及我們透過行動 DOC 巡迴回到的兩所生源國小。對一所國中而言,這並不尋常。這就是萬興。
Wanshing's identity is built on three commitments that all start at the school gate and reach outward. None of them is borrowed from a city template.

Most schools tell the story of their best students with a list of universities. Wanshing tells it with a workbench. Our Class-of-2025 alumna entered National Erlin Industrial & Commercial Vocational High School straight from our gate, joined their Interior Spatial Design programme, and three months later stood at the 52nd National Skills Championships in Painting & Decoration. She came home with first place — nationally. The pipeline from after-school workshop, through Wanshing's design and graphic-arts curriculum, to Erlin Vocational's master classrooms, to the national workbench — is no longer hopeful. It is repeatable. 多數學校用「考上哪所大學」說自己的好學生。萬興用「站上哪張工作台」說。我們 2025 年的畢業校友從萬興國中校門直接進入國立二林高級工商職業學校室內空間設計科,三個月後站上第 52 屆全國技能競賽漆作裝潢職場,奪下全國第一。從我們課後工坊、設計與電腦繪圖課程,到二林工商的師徒訓練,到全國工作台——這條路線在萬興已經不是希望,而是可被複製的常態。
The school's official curriculum vision is named "Brilliance Wanshing · Vital SMART" (卓越萬興 · 活力 SMART). The five letters are a promise about what every Wanshing student is offered — alongside, and beyond, the textbook.
