Taiping Elementary School sits in Puxin Township, Changhua, on the outskirts of Yuanlin City. Provincial Highway No. 1 and Expressway No. 76 run close by, so the school is easy to reach; Puxin Park borders the campus to the north, and the township kindergarten is right next door — a neighbour that makes the step up to first grade an easy one.
太平國小位於彰化縣埔心鄉，坐落員林市郊，緊鄰省道臺一線及 76 號快速道路，交通便捷。埔心公園緊臨校園北側，是村民休閒活動的好去處；埔心鄉立幼兒園緊鄰本校校區，利於幼小互動與銜接。
It is a small school of eleven classes, and it is built to feel like a garden. The campus has music, science, art and rhythm rooms, a computer room and a wood-floored library, so that the space a child learns in is as carefully made as the lessons themselves.
全校目前十一班，校園環境優雅、綠化如公園，令人心曠神怡。校內設有音樂教室、自然教室、美勞教室、律動教室、電腦教室與木質地板圖書室，提供學生專業且舒適的學習環境。

At the heart of the campus, in the Banyan Pavilion, stands the hundred-year “Grandfather Banyan” — the spiritual landmark of both the school and the village around it. Around the field runs a rainbow-coloured running track, with a semi-outdoor court and a playground beside it, and along the street the school is wrapped in a mosaic tile wall of hand-set pictures. It is, quite deliberately, a beautiful place to be a child.
校園中央的榕亭裡，是那棵百年「榕樹爺爺」——它是學校與社區共同的精神堡壘。操場外圈是一條美麗的彩虹跑道，一旁有半戶外球場與遊戲區；沿著街邊，學校被一整面馬賽克拼貼磁磚圍牆環抱。這是我們刻意經營、讓孩子在其中長大的一方天地。

學校雖小，能做的事情很多。
Every child at Taiping joins a club and works on a talent. The lower grades take a rhythmic dance course; middle and upper grades take swimming lessons, so that fitness is built in year by year. 太平全面推動一人一社團‧一人一才藝：低年級推動律動舞蹈課程，中、高年級延伸游泳教學，一年一年強化孩子的體適能。
Taiping's three school teams — track and field, lion dance and basketball — train under professional coaches and place near the top in competition after competition. 太平三大校隊——田徑隊、舞獅隊、籃球隊——由專業教練指導，在各項比賽均名列前茅。
To widen students' horizons, Taiping joined the Ministry of Education's partial-immersion bilingual programme and the Forward-Looking Foreign Teacher plan in the 2021 school year. A foreign English teacher, Jovel, now helps children build real language skills. 為提升孩子的國際視野與競爭力，太平於 110 學年度申請教育部國教署部分領域雙語教學課程及前瞻外師計畫，目前延聘一位外籍英語教師 Jovel，協助學生發展語言能力。
The national “a tablet for every student” programme is under way at Taiping, and the school took an honourable mention at the 2023 science fair. Lessons keep the student at the centre and treat inquiry as a habit, not an event. 全國「生生用平板」計畫在太平持續推動，112 年科展並獲得佳作。課程以學生為主體，把探究當成日常，而不是活動。
