Mei Feng Elementary School sits in Sanfeng Village, Dacheng Township — at the very southwest corner of Changhua County, on the agricultural plain between the Zhuoshui River and the Taiwan Strait. Founded in April 1952 as a branch of Sigang Public School, the school became independent in 1964 and serves the two villages of Fengmei and Sanfeng — the two villages whose names give us our own: Mei + Feng.
Designated by the Ministry of Education as a remote-area school in 1984, Mei Feng today serves 32 children across 6 classes — one class per grade, with 13 teachers who know every child personally. Small in number, big in care.
At Mei Feng, our school-based curriculum is spelled F.A.M.I.L.Y. — six letters that name the six dimensions of how a Mei Feng child grows up. From farming in our school plots to literature read aloud at morning circle, every letter is a thread we weave together throughout the school year. 美豐國小的校本課程以「F.A.M.I.L.Y.」
Despite our small size, Mei Feng has earned three Changhua County Lead-School certifications — across art, academics, and technology. Recognition reserved for schools setting the pace for the county.
