Huxi Elementary School is led by Principal Ku Shu-fen. Trained at Provincial Taichung Teachers College, Principal Ku went on to a bachelor’s degree in language education at National Taipei Teachers College and a master’s in language teaching at National Hsinchu University of Education.
湖西國小由顧淑芬校長帶領。她畢業於省立臺中師範專科學校普通科，其後取得國立臺北師範學院語文教育學系學士，以及國立新竹教育大學語文教學碩士。
The path here has been a long one, and a local one. Principal Ku taught at Hudong and Huxi elementary schools, served the county as a curriculum supervisor, and then led two schools as principal — Lufeng Elementary in Tianwei and Daxing Elementary in Fuxing — before returning to Huxi, this time to the principal’s office.
這條路走得長，也走得在地。顧校長曾任湖東國小、湖西國小教師，擔任彰化縣政府教育處課程督學，並先後擔任田尾鄉陸豐國小與福興鄉大興國小校長，而後回到湖西——這一次，是走進校長室。
