Fusing students took part in the Changhua County 2026 International Education Study Tour for junior high teachers and students, and walked straight into a Japanese school campus. School exchange, culture walks, food-and-farming experiences, city exploring — for ten days, the world itself was the classroom.
The program starts from a simple idea: junior high students who care about the world. Along the way it builds an eye for many cultures, real action on the global SDGs, and the habits of a world citizen.
Back on campus, the travelers stood up in the school library and walked their schoolmates through the whole trip, day by day — beginning with the morning they flew out of Taoyuan and landed at Narita.
Day two took them along the old Ginza street of Karuizawa and up a green stone path to a small shrine. One slide passed on a piece of trivia the whole room enjoyed: in Japan, any lively, prosperous shopping street can be called a "Ginza."
They brought a local festival home with them too — the parade, the crowds along the road, the portable shrines carried shoulder-high through the street. That is the kind of thing you cannot really learn from a page; you have to be standing in it.
From lessons in a Japanese classroom, to chatting with students their own age, to daily life outside school, they came to understand how different cultures can be — and learned to meet those differences with respect and an open mind.
By day ten it was time to fly home. The wish on that last slide was not about souvenirs at all: to travel again one day, to sit and talk with local people, to feel other cultures for themselves — and to tell the world how much there is to love about Taiwan and about Changhua.
Most important of all, they felt something no exam can teach: language is not a tool for tests — it is a bridge to the world. The moment you are willing to open your mouth and speak bravely, language carries you to new people and new cultures, and lets the world hear your voice too.

🌏 讓世界成為孩子的教室｜國際見學成果分享
福興國中的同學參與彰化縣115年度國中師生國際教育見學計畫，走進日本校園，透過學校交流、文化踏查、食農體驗與城市探索，親身感受不同文化的樣貌，也拓展了更寬廣的國際視野。計畫以「國中生關懷世界」為出發點，培養學生多元文化、國際 SDGs 行動與世界公民素養。
回到校園後，同學們分享旅途中滿滿的收穫。從課堂學習、校園互動到生活體驗，孩子們更加理解文化的多元，也學會以尊重與包容的態度看待差異。
更重要的是，大家真正體會到語言不是考試的工具，而是連結世界的橋梁。當願意開口、勇敢表達，語言就能帶領我們認識不同的人、理解不同的文化，也讓世界聽見自己的聲音。
