New term, new start — and it begins with one good book.
Our thanks go to the Changhua County Government, which has backed reading education for years — putting real resources behind a wide range of reading activities so that students can build knowledge, widen their view, and grow their power to think, to understand, and to say what they mean.
Fusing answers that call by starting early: reading habits take root in seventh grade. Today our new students happily picked up book after book, found interests they didn't know they had, explored the unknown, and laid a solid base for three years of learning ahead.
We believe that the power to read is the power to learn — and one of the most important strengths a young person can carry into the future.
Fusing will keep building that strength through class reading time, library resources, our school-based curriculum and reading activities such as the Traveling Library bus 雲水書車. The goal is never simply to finish a book: it is to read information and understand it, to think independently, to ask your own questions, and to speak your own view.
Thank you to the county government for championing reading, and to our teachers for reading and growing right alongside the students.
May every Fusing student find their own interest and their own direction inside a book — so that the scent of paper fills this campus, and reading becomes an ability they carry for a lifetime.

新學期、新起點，從一本好書開始！
感謝彰化縣政府長期重視閱讀教育，持續投入資源、推動多元閱讀活動，讓孩子從校園出發，透過閱讀累積知識、拓展視野，也培養思考、理解與表達的能力。
福興國中也積極響應縣府閱讀政策，從七年級新生開始扎根閱讀習慣，帶領孩子走進書本的世界。今天，同學們開心地拿起一本本好書，在閱讀中發現興趣、探索未知，也為國中三年的學習旅程累積更扎實的基礎。
我們相信，閱讀力就是學習力，更是孩子面對未來的重要競爭力。
福興國中將持續透過班級閱讀、圖書資源、結合校訂課程及多元閱讀活動雲水書車，讓閱讀不只是「讀完一本書」，更能培養孩子理解訊息、獨立思考、主動提問與表達觀點的能力。
